Steele Dossier correct yet again - Cohen was in Prague in the Summer of '16

So the quote in my story and the quote in your story even though EXACTLY same are not somehow the same?

I don;t give a rat’s as about the headlines.

The fact he said what he said cannot be disputed.

“When you actually get into the details of the Steele dossier, the specific allegations, we have not seen the evidence to support them, and in fact, there is good grounds to think that some of the more sensational allegations will never be proven and are likely false.”

How different stories choose to spin it is on them, the fact that he had to admit what he did admit is what is pissing you all off.

You all want everything in the dossier to be true, but that may not be the case.

In summary, Democrats position is that some parts of the dossier are true, so the more damaging parts that have not been proven are likely true too.
Republicans position is that only the parts that have actual evidence of being true can be assumed to be true.

Pretty much the whole thread.

Its pretty clear how courts would look at this.,

In a court of law, is the defendant normally tasked with proving that they did not commit the crime or is the prosecutor tasked with proving that the defendant did commit the crime?

Lock her up.

Didn’t Christie have a mock trial of her from the stage with the crowd yelling guilty?

That was fun.

Modify - Republicans think the dossier was bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC and she is guilty beyond doubt. There was no collusion and Donald Trump is innocent and this is a Democrat-led witch hunt.

2019: The year that all of the dossier is proved to be true.

So you know all of these people are habitual liars, and you agree there have been a myriad of lies from them, and what? You just don’t care?

An assault on the King’s men is an assault on the King himself. Lol

Mr. Trump really is treated like royalty by some folks. Fascinating.

That is some of the worst cherry picked, out of context reporting I’ve seen in some time. Wow. That was really, really bad. Like Infowars or Gateway Pundit bad. I know the Mooney Times is bad, but good grief. That was constructed to be flat out fallacy.

Nope. Your minimizing again. After you already finally admitted large, important parts of the Dossier have been verified and proven true. And you were only down to the “collusion” remaining as not yet verified.

Must defend the Crown I guess. Lol

Collection of raw intelligence isn’t a court of law. Lol

It takes corroboration of the intelligence through investigation. The kind of investigation that is going on right now, and that Republicans are clamoring to shut down so they can protect the Crown.

Nobody is stopping any “investigation”…we are just noticing it has been going on for over two years now (beginning with the Strzok FBI) and no election conspiracy and no pee tape.
This “crown” thing is just your imagination.

Nothing burgers and fake fries… All dem hope on making Cohen compose on Prague. And yet, nothing…

So where we at on the Prague thing? Short of actual confirmation that the Russins have compromising material on Trump, it’s the single most damaging accusation in the dossier, that Cohen met with them. Especially now that Trump’s admitted he was pursuing real estate deals with Russia during the campaign.

You were the one with tons of posts defending Trump ruining Santa Claus for a little kid, right?

It looks like there’s a naked ‘‘ladies’’ selfie with Trump with ‘‘bed’’ in the background with other ‘‘ladies’’ sitting around.

Your source was an opinion article from the Mooney Times. Use a factual source and you won’t have that problem.

To the OP.

I’m still wrestling with this one. On one hand the McClatchey reporting is vague, and Cohen’s denails are strong, but where it is specific I think deserves attention.

For one, the article speaks to Cohens phone being picked up by Prague towers. This can be true, without Cohen being in Prague. For instance, he could have been nearby.

Or, as we know, Cohen ran the “burner” phone operation for the Trump org. As we also know, Cohen didn’t fully grasp the concept of “burner” phones because after they were done being used, instead of “burning” them, he kept them.

I believe when his home/office was raided Mueller took possession of 16(?) phones.

Perhaps these were a group of burners that Cohen set up, and perhaps one of them, or maybe one not even collected yet in the evidence and yet still registered to Cohen, was handed off to someone else and ping’d in Prague.

This story is certainly an interesting to watch, as McClatchey still stands on it’s own in the reporting, but in the face of strong criticism still stands behind it.

Where we’re at at the Prague thing is that people are putting way to much significance into it.

Cohen has already pleaded guilty to worse things than were alleged in the dossier. Things that directly connect to Russia. Essentially, this is all filler for the inbetween of what we already know from Mueller’s indictments

Because of a McClatchy story claiming two new details corroborating a Steele dossier claim that Michael Cohen had a meeting with people serving the interests of Putin’s Administration, people have gotten themselves into a tizzy again about what a smoking gun it would be if the allegations in the Steele dossier were proven true.

It’s an utterly bizarre tizzy, both because the allegations in the Steele dossier not only don’t match some more damning allegations Cohen has already pled guilty to, but because Mueller has already charged other people for some of the allegations about Cohen made in the dossier. In other words, the McClatchy story has people excited about the wrong allegations, rather than focusing on the damning things Cohen (and others) have already been charged with.

Indeed, most functional allegations made in the Steele dossier have already been publicly explained in either court filings or sworn testimony.

The unethical or illegal part would be when Jr, and others in the room discussed sanctions. That information should have been provided to the FBI. He was contacted by a foreign agent to discuss lifting sanctions and when Jr was asked about it, he told them they talked about adoptions.

In Jr’s defense, he may have just been too stupid to know they were talking about sanctions and not just adoption.
