Because he’s going to seek to have the Chinese make restitution for causing this…in massive debt forgiveness or something. Which may further deepen the trade war. It’s not a bad thought…but it will not work.
Every now and again the power of the Unreality Bubble still has the power to stun.
That someone would spout off that our sluggish response to COVID was because of Democratic resistance to Trump was something I wouldn’t have expected to see.
The insistence around here on pretzeling someone’s response to fit a narrative is normal, I guess. Never said I was ignoring China. Hiding the virus, lying about the severity, booting out observers - all that is reprehensible, and led to needless deaths. Better?
My point is that Trump, and therefore his minions, aren’t calling it Chinese virus to be “accurate”, They’re doing it to assign blame, something they certainly don’t want anyone doing to him.
In the face of the crisis, this is a pretty small thing. Certainly shouldn’t be anyone’s focus. But it’s vintage Trump - “I’m getting hammered, better deflect”. I don’t buy it. You can choose to. That’s not how I roll.
Yes, it was those liberals, Nixon, Reagan, Clinton and Bush who negotiated trade, and legitimized China by propping them up, and gave them the status they needed to become an economic powerhouse.
No reason trump couldn’t do he ■■■■■■■ job while he was being impeached. Hell, clinton negotiated with Newt on welfare reform while he was being impeached.
What did trump do? Spent his time lying about COVID and saying our cases would go to zero.
You did and I I absolutely give you credit for that. The thing is he hasn’t got out ahead of it and is now playing political games but you’re no longer criticizing his efforts
