The United States killed Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri in a drone strike over the weekend, two people briefed on the operation told POLITICO.
In a statement to reporters, a senior administration official said “over the weekend, the United States conducted a counterterrorism operation against a significant Al Qaeda target in Afghanistan. The operation was successful and there were no civilian casualties.”

other sources say Zawahiri will be following Brandon with a statement confirming the drone strike was successful and that he is indeed dead.
From what I am reading the Haqqani Network might have established ties with al-Zawahri which would mean that the Taliban and therefore Afghanistan has crawled into bed with al-Qaeda?

The only fact that story presents is that NBC alleged that anonymous people said that Trump selected several terrorists to hunt down and it did not include this person on the list. According to NBC anonymous people said Trump also mentioned that he had not heard of this persons name. NBC then concluded he was not selected because Trump had not heard this persons name. Did they ask Trump for verification? No mention of that. You are using the term “fact” very loosely.
