The British government is under the domination of Washington, which is under the domination of the military/surveillance state.
The new UK law effectively makes internet providers responsible for removing whatever the government does not like under the pretext of being “harmful”.
Rumble is likely to be banned by law from Britain. Google/YouTube will simply use the UK law and a similar law in the EU as a pretext to censor speech in the US as well as overseas.
I expect that many of the provisions of the new censorship laws will not be vigorously enforced until the final months leading up the US election. That will maximize the benefit for Democrats and neocons. Any court challenges are unlikely to affect enforcement until after the election.

The efforts to silence Brand are censorship by proxy. Elements within the US government are engaged in information warfare.

The lack of any protest from the Biden administration amounts to tacit approval. The UK is not acting alone.
More and more, I’m convinced that Russell Brand made his rightward turn politically for exactly this reason - he knew the rape allegations against him were coming, and he knew that if he developed an audience of MAGA conspiracists, they’d stick by him and defend him no matter how horrendous the allegations were.

Or the government-controlled media have decided to investigate every relationship that Brand was involved in from many years ago in order to find someone who might be willing to push false or exaggerated allegations.
The media never bothered with Brand when was just another left-wing, promiscuous comedian / entertainment personality. Seriously questioning official narratives is now classified as waging information warfare against the state.
