An intellectually honest person, even if they support many Democrat policies, would acknowledge that the Democrats clearly lied about the border and are perfectly fine with unlimited migration of people into the country.

Everyone knew that senate border legislation was absolute trash and stood zero chance of becoming law. Lankford and no one on his staff had any experience with immigration and likely had no clue themselves how bad that legislation was.
