No, that’s not precisely true. Only those firearms that the feds define as a firearm. And there is a very large exception category. Do you want a better hint?
Sure you are…
Why is it up to the Republicans to make IDs free?
Why haven’t the Democrats already done that???
I don’t think it’s necessary but I’m not against it if it’s free and easy.
Mark this day down in history. Cheers. ![]()

For all of your protesting not a single Lib has been able to explain what hardship in obtaining an ID exists or produce one person who wanted to vote who couldn’t because getting an ID was such an onerous burden that they just couldn’t do it.
None of this matters if the IDs are free and easy to get.
Case closed.
The only reason why someone wouldn’t want them to be free and easy is because they are using IDs to limit voting.

isnt the ability to vote worth a little effort?
I think the point is, that is your right. To vote. That is your power. If something like ID is asked of a voter, it should be at no additional significant burden to the voter. And at no cost. You should not have to pay to vote, that is your right.
Any voter ID law should ensure that any fraud that is prevented outweighs the number of eligible folks who wanted to vote but could not due to the law. The problem? It isn’t possible because fraud is astoundingly low, so it will always disenfranchise more that it prevents.
The GOP is not interested in preventing voter fraud, or they would just have free Federal IDs for every voter. The cost would not be significant and it could serve as real IDs for flying or even useful IDs for other purposes, such as purchasing firearms or liquor.
It is better, in their rationale, to just complain without offering reasonable solutions. The specter of fraud serves a better purpose than a solution to an already small problem. Just make it seem bigger and gin up the base.

The truth is you Libs are pissed because the majority of Americans have rejected your agenda and without cheating, lying and stacking the deck with millions of illegals who bring extra Democrat representation in Congress, you couldn’t get anyone elected to high office. Now that Trump is deporting your base and shutting down Democrat slush funds and exposing the blatant corruption within the Democrat party, even the historic trend for the off party to gain seats in mid term elections is shaky and your dirt bag leaders know it. But by all means, keep doing what you guys do and root against America!
Hear! Hear! Great post and correct on ALL points!

If getting an ID is too complicated, then having a vote is too. “Case closed.”
No reason not to make it free and easy. Unless the real goal is to limit voting.
Have you lobbied your Senator and Rep to introduce legislation to accomplish this?
If not, why not?
Or in libs case…ability to cheat.
Let’s say you wanted to sway an upcoming local election through in-person voter fraud, and your state doesn’t require an ID. Talk me through how you’d go about trying to win that election through in-person voter fraud.

The ability to cheat is the dems reason to oppose ID.
Even at that 71 percent of dems favor ID according to the CNN pollster.
It’s the dem politicians and radical dems who oppose the ID.

For decades, ID was not required to vote (ID is required to register to vote).
How much voter fraud has actually occured?

It is not our problem that many MAGAs on these boards are incapable of reading anything that doesn’t already fit their unreality bubble of what they have been taught to believe.
It would be so ezpz to repost what you conclude is the answer but…you haven’t been able to do that. Why? Answer…cuz it doesn’t exist.
Its easy, they think minorities are too inept to go online and do a little research to find the documents like a birth certificate, marriage or divorce decree, etc that someone may need. They also think they are incapable of getting a ride to the BMV to get said ID. They also think the same of those that live in rual communities, they think we don’t know how to operate a computer, or a printer, or that we can either drive or find a ride to the BMV.
Thats ALL it is, they phrase it differently of course, they say “may have difficulties…” but it’s just word games covering their true meanings because we all know only liberals are smart enough to figure stuff like that out, the rest of us are just rubes and hicks from the sticks.
All oppositiom against voter id went the of the dodo after the COVID restrictions mask and vaccination mandates
The argument that if you want to travel (an inalienable protected by the first amendment) that you should have to go get stuck with a needle destroys all arguments against voter id.
Covid was a scary era not because of the disease, but because of how pathetically easy it was to get people to roll over for master.

Good try, but there is nothing suppressionist about validation.
there is when no mechanism is available to provide free voters IDs to all people.
why should people have to spend money to exercise their right to vote.
Allan
Because we have to spend money to exercise any other right maybe?

I used to take my shotgun to both high school and to college so that I could go hunting after class. Guess what, the world has gone crazy and that is no longer allowed. Things have changed and now we have to enact new laws, for the new law breakers and that’s life.
“well regulated”. No mention of regulating the right to vote.
doesn’t know what “well regulated” means.

Been answered ad nauseum.
Yes the old “black and brown folks are to dumb and poor” argument has been tossed around ad nauseum.

Did you carry the gun to class? I assume you were also in a more rural area?
ID is required to register to vote, that is the how non eligible people cannot vote.

In high school, it was in the trunk of my car out in the parking lot. At college, it was in my dorm and housed by the RA. Now try that today. You can’t because there’s too many idiotic asses and guess what, they get to vote. Due to this much lower mentality and level of responsibility, we need everyone to show their ID, proving they are who they say they are, before they’re allowed to vote.
