Should a president biden expand the supreme court

It’s not a res publica once it’s been sold off and privatized.

Yes, because the GOP stole the 2000 election and thus garnered the SCOTUS seats during the Bush years, then the GOP Senate throttled judiciary appointments of Obama for years including the stolen Garland seat and follow that up with Trump losing the popular vote again like Bush who proceed him and the GOP suddenly being all gung ho to appoint their unqualified picks. The GOP does not believe in the will of the people, their voice or democratic principles in general. It’s pretty clear.

Gee maybe the GOP would have to modify its platform to I dunno, attract more voters or something instead of relying on parliamentary anachronisms to maintain power and enact an agenda that isn’t very popular with their own voters.

This I could very much agree with. Unfortunately, it would take a Constitutional amendment.
A term limit would prevent a court that was representative of politics decades ago and wouldn’t make every single appointment seem so critical.

The core philosophy of government is predatory paternalism. They know best, what’s best is a rigged game and any society they don’t rule is disordered and sickly.

Indeed it could. And if any party believes it has been taken on the court and supporters of the party in power have lost all faith in the court, a President could just announce that he did not consider the Court to be the final interpreter of the Constitution.

Watch the “liberal media” grow very concerned over this outbreak of democracy.

I can already hear Joe Scarborough’s lips pursing up to scold.

It’s cute listening to the sheep try and talk tough to the wolves.

Be interesting to see how long the liberal strongholds last without food, water, or utilities.

Revel in that fantasy.

What liberal court decisions has the GOP been overturning?

The issue is what would a court with a radical / Socialist majority do?

Would it effectively remove the second amendment by re-interpretation?

Would it remove freedom of speech and freedom of assembly for people who disagree with Democrats?

Why does democracy have you so up in arms?

Maybe the minority should have asked themselves that question before governing like a majority.

Too late for retrospection. Trumpists can’t do it anyway.

It ain’t radical if most people support it.

I appreciate that you phrased this optimistically, rather than focusing on revenge. These are points to think on.

be interesting to see how long the conservative areas when the liberal strongholds cut off there access to social media so they cant organize. and when amazon cuts them off from deliveries.

Because we aren’t one?

Yes… the world would cease to exist without Facebook or amazon.

Food, water, and power on the other hand… none of which your side produces for itself…

This is not true.
