I agree that you wouldn’t have, but you seem to be defending his choice to do so.
My point was in his chosen priorities. Although I understand “why” he did it, you and I have a different set of priorities. I was just attempting to point out his “why”.
I mock him because he kisses the ass of the man who called his wife ugly and said his dead helped kill JFK, simultaneously jettisoning every principle he ever supposedly had after five years of pretending to be so principled he was literally the most hated politician in DC.
