Too late for that. They dropped the working class in favor of the recent liberal arts college student, recent third world immigrants, radical leftists. There is no going back.

“Recent polls, particularly from Gallup in 2025, show a significant portion of Democrats view socialism more favorably than capitalism, with 66% of Democrats holding positive views on socialism compared to 42% for capitalism, indicating a shift towards socialist ideas, especially among younger Democrats and those drawn to figures like Bernie Sanders and AOC. While some polls suggest a preference for “democratic socialism,” the trend shows growing acceptance of socialist principles within the Democratic base, contrasting with declining positive views of capitalism and big business.

I’ve been calling for some way to find middle ground across the political/ideological chasm we have in this society.

He’s one hope for it coming from the left.

That’s because he is a moderate democrat.

@biggestal would be wise to calibrate his moderate detector off of him.

As I said…he’s only democrat that can lead democrats out of darkness.

Good thing he is becoming an outcast among Democrats. A return to sanity among the Democratic Party could be very damaging to Republican control.

making sense every day. John Fetterman called on President Trump to fire DHS Secretary Kristi Noem | Fox News

I like fetterman. Don’t agree with everything he says but I believe him to be sincere about trying to do the right thing.

I like him too. He’s popular in his home state by polling. He’ll probably serve out his term and go home which was more common for politicians of a previous century.

Ya I feel the same people like Fetterman who reaches across the aisles gives me hope. He has been a pleasant surprise

(WHTM) — U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) broke with his party again this weekend by backing a Republican-led effort to require identification when voting in federal elections.

The House is set to vote this week on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, which proposes requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote and valid identification to cast a ballot.

“It’s not a radical idea for regular Americans to show your ID to vote, and absolutely those things are not Jim Crow or anything,” Fetterman said. “Of course, that’s part of an awful, awful legacy of our nation.”

In PA everyone is required to show an ID to buy cigarettes.

Someone should tell my Wawa that. I have never been carded for them.

Maybe someone should:

AI Overview
In Pennsylvania, you must be at least 21 years old to purchase cigarettes, vapes, and tobacco products. Retailers are required to check a valid photo ID for anyone under age 30
. Acceptable IDs include a state-issued driver’s license, military ID, or passport.

(Or maybe you just look really old and they can be confident you’re not under 30.)

That’s a lot of words to agree with me that everyone in PA doesn’t have to show ID to buy cigarettes. Some people do just like buying alcohol, except Wegmans they card everyone which is why I don’t bother going there for beer.

Yes, it was.
