Schumer Screwed Up

Of course you are Jay, you do it all the time, then turn around and deny it. Every day.

You are trying to paint GOP Senators as weak, bad, so partisan they refuse to do the “right” thing (which is your outcome of course) because of this, that or the other reason.

Are they so weak Trump is ruling them?

Are their constituents such bad people that the Senators are terrified of them if they vote against The Orange Man?

Somebody has to be bad Jay; otherwise how can you be good?

Great point. Are the penalties the same for “attempted” the same as for actually doing it?

Absolutely…Just look at Rubio and Cruz for example.

There we go. Thanks. Only possible explanation.

Shumer and the house managers are the ones who need censuring.

Anything is possible.

There shouldn’t have been an impeachment process. There should have been a censure process.

Section 239 of the Criminal Code makes attempted murder punishable by a maximum of life imprisonment…So in attempted murder…I’d say yep.

For Nadler’s (I believe it was him) comments insulting the Senators absolutely.

How many people have we executed for attempted murder?

You didn’t think that through.

They are cowards because they lack the courage of their convictions to stand up to a man who controls a Twitter feed and “base” of voters.

Emotional manipulation in response to dissenting opinions, followed by a guaranteed failure due to:

Followed by a guaranteed emotional outburst exposing them to be everything hateful that they pretend to be against.

How many states have the death penalty?

So two entirely separate processes then??

The list of impeachment that Safiel provided to me showed no history of censure being the result of any impeachment in our history.

And I see no mention of the two being done as an either or option once the process has started.

Maybe WW can give some input.

I don’t believe for a second that he supports a censure. Why would I apologize for that? LOL.

And you guys whine about libs being snowflakes?

There have been people executed without doing the actual killing or ordering it…so there’s that.

Doubling down huh?

We are already in agreement that what Trump did was at the least “censure bad” so why are you picking nits?

The issue is most of Trump’s base likely doesn’t.

So the Senate would do the political thing.

Again the point is…by no means was my supposition the Senate would not pass a censure a “ridiculous supposition”…based on what we know.

As was pointed out, we didn’t really hear any Republican Senators saying they thought Trump did something wrong until they had shut down the avenue of more witnesses.

That’s the evidence right there that my supposition is not ridiculous.

Rally 'round Bernie of course.

Your ill gotten talking points are going to be a net loss by November…call it a victory for now, I understand Trump opponents need comfort even at this extraordinarily high cost…

You were beaten by a lawyer (Philbin) who sounds and reasons and speaks as calm and clearly as Mr. Rogers.

What he had to explain was obvious to anyone with a basic understanding of legal procedure.

You post your opinions here all the time, no one ever asks you to apologize for them. Go cry somewhere else. We’re all allowed to have our own opinions.
