Schumer is going to walk his party off the cliff

I don’t have to believe it, it’s just true.

I don’t know if they really have no other choice.

Failing to address climate change is going to hurt the Dems more than anything imo.

Yes. That’s what they really need to be doing. More nonsense, not less.

Says a lot about the party when failure to address a hoax is a problem.

Not sure what the radicals have in mind for WV it’s a miracle there is a democrat in office there.

Don’t worry dems, the republicans will catch them and set them back on top.

Senate Republicans could just … and hear me out … vote in favor of voter’s rights.

Joe Manchin will be the last Democrat from WV for at least a couple of decades.

There is no problem with “voter’s rights” in this country.

Just what percent of the Dem base might leave?

It’s not that they will leave, it will be that they won’t get people to show up to vote.

There will be no use to vote for them if they continue to fail to address the very important issue of climate change.

So you think all that spun up emotional zeal will just evaporate into a brooding mass of hopeless apathy. Instead AOC and Bernie could actually form some sort of Democratic Socialist Green Party. If you truely want change and to save the world vote DSG.

Power move I guess. He thinks it will be a cudgel for the mids. They will be able to say that so-and-so voted against voter rights.

It will also be a vote, on record, against the filibuster, if the R’s decide it needs to go in the future.

Third parties are a dead end in electoral systems.

but yes. Apathy will creep into a voter base that works hard to get the party into power to address certain issues and continue to fail at adressing those polices.

It is much easier for the GOP. Their political philosophy is that government doesn’t work so they are under no obligation to make it work. they do better by actively breaking it.

While that might be smart… they won’t care.

Probably not. Modern Republicans have shown themselves to be remarkably resistant to embarrassment and shame.

Plus R’s have found something that Dems have yet to discover. The average American is just not that politically savvy. They have work to do, families to raise, etc. If a politician can hold tight for a week or two, controversy will just go down the memory hole.

Yeah… I almost feel bad for Ryan Zinke… resigned over some expensive flights… what a dope.

What do you mean " right now"? When haven’t they?

That’s a good example. The cacophony was enormous. Now? Nobody even remembers who he is.

Well, I mean we do, but we are political junkies.
