Ask the Obama administration. There was massive consolidation of generic drug manufacturers in the US, and abroad during the administration. Competition was significantly reduced, with the expected upwards price results from reduced competition. One would think that the FTC would have taken a dim view of industry consolidation in drug manufacturing.
I suspect a lot of organizations that are being criticized for their discriminatory/CRT practices, like coke, fall into that trap. They form some social justice organization to keep the feds and leftists happy and forget about them. Meanwhile, that group is filled with the most extremist social justice graduates who were recently filled with socialist/CRT garbage, and the company is stuck with the reputation.
Yes, it is.
Greed.
Sorry, but that is RW BS rhetoric.
Yeah, sure it is. Excessive taxation, lower standard of living, highly regulated societies. I have a lot of time in Europe, Saw how they lived. Nice small houses and apartments, school opportunities and profession choices by government aptitude test results. So preach to me.
It was all planned. Subvert the HR and compliance departments and convince the board that these types of policies will immunize the company from accusations of racism. And of course you see any push back immediately labeled as racists denying their racism.
i have a few dozen friends, in Europe, have been there several times.
Higher taxes, yes. But they get a lot for those higher taxes.
The homes my friends live in are not smallâŚthey are not huge either, pretty much on par with we have here. And they are middle class. not rich by at all. With that said, most have a vacation home or cabin as well.
Regarding aptitude tests, does that not make sense? Should a person with horrible math skills study to be an engineer?
Ah yes, just simple middle class folks with a second home used only for vacations. Highly taxed simple middle class folks with sufficient income to purchase and maintain a second home. What could possibly be wrong with this picture.
A government official telling you your place in life based on a test in secondary school. Once categorized no ability to change, because the government is paying and will tell you what to do.
Lower standards of living? By what measure?
I donât know where in Europe you lived but it sure doesnât sound like the Europe I know.
Wait, what European country is giving career aptitude tests to kids? And then forcing people in that direction?
And you want to enable it?
Just need a little more.
Not at all true.
Germany uses it to determine if you go to university or to trade school. They test to graduate their mandatory high school with the result used to determine college admission. Donât do well and you wonât get into college, the trades are for you. And home schooling is illegal.
Yes, if you donât pass the Abitur, you canât go to college.
Just like here in the US, where if you donât graduate high school, you canât go to college. The Abitur is an exit exam.
And an aptitude measure. Non-Germanâs wishing to go to university in Germany have to take a version of the exam, in German, before even being considered for admission.
So, like the SAT or ACT?
Yes you can.
âŚif you take a test.
