One can only hope that the members push back on this stupidity. Great organizations are always the target of subversion. The idea is to use the organizations public goodwill and credibility for past good works as a false endorsement.
Honestly, the best thing they could do is to fire the folks who came out with this mission statement and make it clear that this kind of discrimination will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Pretty much everything I put on that list…mostly because we do not do most of those things at an effective level.

There mistake was falling for the PC assertion that an organization needs a “social justice department,” by any name, as part of organizational policy development and oversight.

Basic discovery research is funded primarily by government . The private sector does not do much of that. Once something shows promise, that research is then done by the private sector, if they think there will be an ROI.
Drugs like Insulin have been around for quite a long time. Why do we pay more than other countries?

He thinks that because they pay indirectly, instead of directly, that they pay less. And these glorious socialist modeled programs are generally 2 tiered, with wait times for diagnosis and treatment of major illnesses for the common man’s tier and more immediate access for the elites.
