That’s completely not true of her heritage. Look it up again.
I would never defend Barr’s comment, any more than I would watch a show she was in.
However, one sin doesn’t make a hell…
I don’t care what her heritage is. I know she is supposed to be African American and its pretty obvious that no sub saharan African group is as light as she is or has similar features. But all that is pointless as to that one comment because Barr knew that she is supposed to be African American.
Any specifics about her background are irrelevant to the issue.
She had one white great grandparent, not one black one.
That’s nice. And not relevant.
And you will or should have noticed that I said I read about one grandparent who was supposed to be African American. I said nothing about the race or ethnicity of the other grandparents.

^^^ This x 1000. I mean have we really gotten to that point now? At one point people made no bones about their racism. Then the PC culture came along and people started getting rightfully shunned for being racist. Now in an effort to excuse their racism they take a person say something racist about them and then say well it doesn’t really count because I have decided they aren’t really of the race I was being racist towards.

When a card carrying member of the Dem party says something racist they are forgiven, its assumed they really didn’t mean it.

What if Barr had said the following?
“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”
Please cite an example of a “card carrying member of the dem party” comparing an ape to an African American female. Please, with sugar on top.
Harry Reid, SENATE MAJORITY LEADER not some entertainer said, “that Obama, as a black candidate, could be successful thanks, in part, to his “light-skinned” appearance and speaking patterns "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” and was given a complete pass by the left.
