It was a racist comment, not a hurtful comment.
So now we’re at “she’s not racist, she just says racist things to be hurtful.”
I’m learning all sorts of interesting new definitions of racism today.
Again, when people ask me why I don’t move away from the racists, where do I move? They’re ever friggin where.
Real feelings coming up to the surface, be it out of anger or under the influence. For example as it relates to under the influence(specifically drugs), where I’m from there is a saying, “The truth is at the bottom of the bottle”.
Besides, what matters is the way Barr sees her.
Not for nothing, but not my kids.
This needs to be bumped often until one of Barr’s defenders takes a stab at answering.
If that is your measure for who is a racist is whether they make comments which use generalizations or not, then Barack Obama, who is known for being a very careful and deliberate speaker, has a lot of apologizing to to do as well. For his “typical white woman” comment, his “white man’s greed” comment, etc…
i cant believe people are trying to say “well she doesnt look black so it wasnt a bigoted comment” excuse…
I guess we need to define racism. Comparing 45 and Obama’s comments is like comparing apples and oranges. Definitely not the same and you all need to really stop this false narrative about Obama being racists against white people when he’s half white himself.
What else do you have to go on?
Someone who is in the heat of an emotionally charged, back and forth, makes a hurtful comment on twitter, and from that you claim to know all about them?
There are plenty of people with a heritage consisting of different races, religions, etc… and it does not prelude them from harboring hostility or bigoted views. there are Americans who hate America, there are white people who go around trashing whites. There were blacks who owned black slaves, and I’ll bet you thought slave owner would be the biggest indicator of that person being a racist.
So please, you should not make that much out a heated exchange of insults and put downs, in a twitter rant.
How do you got to that take away is a mind blower. It has no basis in fact. Not everything is a conspiracy.
Please stop! I mean seriously.
Exactly.
It’s like they don’t understand that we aren’t a monolithic group. Black people have even more varied skin tones than whites.
But there is absolutely no way someone can look at Valerie and not see mostly African descent. Her facial structure and hair are the dead giveaways. I mean hell its funny that I am half white and I’m darker than her but both of her parents are light skinned as well. My dad is fairly dark and my mom is as pale Irish as they come. His genetics were more potent than hers when it came to my skin tone.
I’ve been following this story closely since it broke (again, I work at an ABC station so it directly affects me) and yours is literally the first claim about a back and forth. You want to show me where Valerie Jarrett said anything to Roseanne?
If you condemn every stranger for an emotionally charged insult or harsh word, you will end up damning the entire world eventually.
And seriously, is you cannot handle having a disagreement with someone, you are in the wrong place. Go somewhere else, where everyone agrees with you.
Not a drop of Persian blood in her. Both parents are African American.
I wan’t familiar with her when I first read about Barr’s quote, so I looked her up. Judging from all the pictures of her, I concluded that she wasn’t black so it made no sense at all what Barr said. Then I read an article that referenced some African American grandparent.
But that doesn’t let Barr’s statement off, because she knew that she is supposed to be an African American, though you wouldn’t guess it from the images.
It’s certainly not that. That was me being kind toward your idiotic comment, but then you just double down. LOL!
