Youâre committing the base rate fallacy. At the time 93% of the Welsh population had received at least one dose of the vaccine.
To demonstrate your base rate fallacy, if Wales had a population of 100,000 people, 93,000 had received at least one dose, and 7,000 were unvaccinated.
If 100 people were hospitalized with COVID, and 87 were vaccinated and 13 were not.
Hospitalization rate of the vaccinated = 87/93,000 =0.000935
Hospitalization rate of the unvaccinated = 13/7,000=0.00186
0.00186/0.000935=1.989 orâŠ
âŠan unvaccinated Welsh person was TWICE AS LIKELY to be hospitalized than a vaccinated Welsh person.
Kind of yea, they wear plain clothing but use electricity, indoor plumbing, own cars. We have a sizeable Amish community where I live in NW Ohio. Funny fact, they often hire âEnglishâ drivers to take them to run errands, especially in the winter. Also, many of the Amish who work in construction will use power tools as long as they are away from their communities.
Apparently you once again failed to read my posts. I clearly stated there is a significant Amish population where I live, as well as a smaller Mennonite community. I ALSO commented that Mennonites own cars, have indoor plumbing, etc. I ALSO stated that the Amish around here hire English drivers to take them around town to run their errands, mostly in the winter.
We know the statistical likelihood of getting measles if you are vaccinated, and we know the likelihood of dying from measles if you are vaccinated and contract them.
It is very, very unlikely that those two kids would have died if they were vaccinated.
Was just talking about this with a buddy. He has a friend who lives in an Amish area in PA. He is the volunteer fire man that drives the truck - the amish canât do it!
In my conversations with my friend I learned the amish in PA use propane to heat and light their houses. They canât be connected to the grid, but they can use independent energy like LP and solar.
The kids all cruise around on battery powered scooters recharged by solar batteries at their homes.
