Heard a bit on this on Smerconish this AM. Prompted me to look it up.
There is a measles outbreak in Texas. The response by the United States government was to send extra doses of vitamin A even though the Texas public health department didn’t want them. It wasn’t a benign public relations stunt. A small group of children is now in hospital being treated for vitamin A toxicity. The dangers of misrepresenting the science are not abstract. Real children are getting sick and dying.
I like some of what he is doing (wants to stop pharmaceutical commericals/cut down on processed food and take the chemicals out of food etc) but the majority of what he spouts is conspiracy laden ■■■■■■■■■
And just to be sure we aren’t missing the dumb here. RFKs answer to a measles outbreak was to send them Vitamin A which hasn’t been proven to help with measles.
Then antivax families fed their kids the vitamin A in high doses ending them up in the hospital with liver stress.
