Republican candidates agree to drop out based on poll. Religious question kills the deal

And what would that have been?

That term in that context is not in the Constitution.

Trump was naïve. He placed Jeff Sessions as AG and Rod Rosenstein as assistant AG. Sessions was attempting to be so stinking honorable that he made a serious political blunder. Rosenstein, who is a part of the deep state pounced on it and appointed a special counselor. He then wrote it for investigating Russian collusion plus…what ever else you find along the way. The Republican establishment jumped that Trump drain thinking it would be the dump train. What I find funny now is how much negative information is now being exposed by the investigation and FOIA lawsuits that show collusion by the FBI and the DOJ to exonerate Hillary and throw dirt on Donald…all in the effort to get Hillary elected. This is causing smart, establishment Republicans to jump from the dump Trump train and reboard the Trump train. As he’s chugging down the tracks, Trump is making some headway and picking up steam…and me, I’m flying in my taxi…takin tips…

WWBKHD?

Now there’s something to think about.

What do you think the blunder was?

Sneak, you and i have discussed this on many occasions. IIRC, your stance is that a business owner should have the right to run his business however he likes, w/out any intrusion from any government, local, state or federal. I understand that is a simplified synopses, but, how close am I?

Should a religious org (church, Mosque etc…) be able to run their org, and ignore any laws that do not follow their own religious laws?

Okay, I see what you’re saying, but with each line you type, I think how odd it is, and that’s what I’m saying. At the very least, the 50% who think the earth is no older than 10,000 years need to do some serious soul searching, which of course will never happen, because they’re the type of people who believe the earth is 10,000 years old, and that will always strike me as odd.

In short, what to do with such mental misfits except nod, shrug, and let them wander in their psychedelic fantasy?

How is your views any different from those that impose their intolerant religious views on others.

You’re still imposing your morality on others through the use of our goverment.

And that what makes your kin so dangerous to society

Stop it.

How bout trump and his tax returns.

And you still voted for him without knowing the “full truth”

Allan

…recusing himself.

I take the information available to me, what ever that is, how ever I’d rank the importance of it and make a decision. You know what, I’m good with that and am making getting some excellent results. The question involved here was that using a poll, the one with the lower results would drop out. It sounds like one of them, after agreeing to some questions, realized religious affiliation wasn’t discussed and wanted it added if he was going to honor the agreement. The other candidate refused to allow that…hence my comments.

From being in charge of the investigation into the campaign that he was thoroughly involved in? Seems proper to me.

Really? Did you say the same when Loretta Lynch had an illicit meeting with Bill Clinton on a tarmac just 3 days before she had to decide whether or not there was evidence for her to prosecute her? Sessions never should have recused himself. It was a blunder and history will look back and acknowledge this.

Following the law, is dangerous to society?

Becoming a theocracy, is dangerous to society.

In America, the Constitution is the supreme law, not any religious book or doctrine.

Let’s keep it that way.

Maybe you can practice what you preach…and learn what the first Amendment really means.

And while you’re at it learn about the 2nd.

I asked this earlier, and I did not see a response.

Can a business owner, use religion as a reason, to not follow local, state and federal laws pertaining to the business? (according to the 1st amendment)

There shouldn’t be a federal law that intrudes onto private business owners religion.

That’s the part you just don’t get.

There shouldn’t be federal funds going to organization that does abortions either.
