Why would he be? His type of conservation is not a conservative v. liberal difference.
Your the one suggesting he isnât a liberal hero why is that.
his work in creating the National Park system and Forestry system is very much very well regarded by liberals.
Its why he is regarded as one of the most universally liked President in history.
And well regarded by conservatives.
Apocalypto:Rooseveltâs statue has a Native American & an African American on each side next to him/beneath him.
The statue âdoes not reflect Theodore Rooseveltâs legacyâ âTheodore Roosevelt IV
Thatâs kind of a nasty âstatueâ. Completely unnecessary. The heir is correct.
Remove it and replace it with him riding a moose.
would be more fitting.
And well regarded by conservatives.
Yes and this statue was defaced by Native America, which have very vocal issues with him due to some of his policies and beliefs they would likely be happy if the statue was remade and removed the Native American from his side. Because for a lot of Native American Tribes he wasnât a friend or ally.
If you would like me to explain further why Native America greatly dislike him I can.

Show me the vote of native Americans to remove the statue.
But my point is you just got saying how meaningless statues were.
So tell them that.

The statue was removed at the request of Native American because they didnât what to be associated with Roosevelt the building said they had been getting complaint about it for years.
do you know why Native American dislike Roosevelt.
and my point was statue are pointless to teach history.
they are not books.
I bet in this case there can be a deal work in which the statue is remade with the Native American removed because that is their main complaint.

the great depression created social safety nets.
because they didnât want such an event to ever happen again.
Its why central park didnât turn into a homeless camp in 2008.

Baseball came from Cricket.
Hot dogs originated in Germany.
Chevrolet was an immigrant from Switzerland.
Apple pie originated from England. The only sport that originated in the United States is Basketball.
Baseball came from roundball, a working class game that didnât take a whole day to play like cricket.
American football is one of the many âadvance the ballâ games like rugby, but it is pure US.
Sneaky and I have been laughed at for years for warning that âcivilizationâ is just a thin veil that can be torn away overnight.
Weâre now living it.
Democrats are surrendering to the mob, refusing to enforce laws and deal with them as the criminals they are.
Now itâs spreading like a cancer.
Everything is a conspiracy theory.
That must be the problem: moving away from cricket.
Exactly how can one know the family situations of all those who have been involved in the protests?
altair1013:Because they are liars. This was never about the confederacy at all. Fake outrage. Itâs about destroying American pride, culture, tradition and history. And replacing it with communism. The same with flag kneeling. De Blasio isnât putting up the white flag, heâs one of them. And you people here who support democrats should be ashamed of this and yourselves for participation in this lie. With big tech banning conservative speech, can book burning be far behind? Just get the hell out of this country if it offends you so much.
You really have no clue what the kids are all about do you.
kids donât care about communism.
That is precisely why they are so susceptible to being indoctrinated.
Just saw were it was announced that Teddy Roosevelts statue will be removed from the American Museum of Natural History the statue itself has been targeted by thugs many times in the past
and the museum has complained that they have had many threats in the past that the statue would be removed forcefully so today it looks like they gave into the mob issued some garbage statement of surrender and will remove it.
I have personally kept mostly quiet with the confederate statue removal and even said if people vote on removing it I am ok with it, but that I donât support the mob removing them. I also said it wonât end at the confederacy and this particular case I find troubling, not out of my love of Teddy Roosevelt but the fact that itâs hard to find a ranking of American presidents that Teddy Rosevelt is not in the top 10 list and most of the time he is around number 4 or 5 of all time presidents. The confederacy ones didnât bother me this one does, not sure were this ends but it has widespread disapproval yet continues unabated.
It makes sense to me. After all, Teddy did ride rough over people of color in Cuba.
That is the association I see.
Just destroyâŚNo thought or discussion.
Open border policy is taking hold destroying history way beyond Confederacy.
CanadianJudo: Jezcoe: CanadianJudo: Jezcoe: TheRedComet:We are the same age if I remember correctly. Iâm 30.
I donât have that view of America.
Certainly we have our issues as a country. No country is perfect.
But the nation has been good to me. Iâve never wanted for food. Iâve never wanted for water or a home. I was given an education at no cost. I had the opportunity to go to college, even if I ultimately squandered it with my own stupid decisions.
You wanna know how I feel about most of us millennials? We are spoiled, entitled brats. We grew up in a time of plenty. Weâve had the highest standard of living as children in American history. Our grandparents grew up as the children of poor farmers or factory workers and most of them had to live in fear of the draft.
When we came of age, in 2007-2008, the world changed. A depression hit. We entered the work force at a bad time.
So â â â â â â â what? Every other generation before us had trials and tribulations that they had to suffer through. Even your hated âboomersâ grew up poorer than most of us.
We had it easy. We were coddled. We were spoiled. We grew up in a time of plenty, the 1990s. We never knew how bad things could get. And we werenât ready. If we can blame our parents for anything, itâs that they didnât raise us right. But ultimately when you become an adult itâs your responsibility to fix whatâs broken.
Instead of manning the â â â â up and dealing with it like those before us did we lashed out in child like anger. Instead of knuckling down and getting to work.
We had the chance to prove the generations before us wrong. We were told we were going to fail before we even came of age due to the coddling and the selfish ways we were raised. Instead we proved them right. 100% right.
I am Gen X.
My Grandparents saw two World Wars and a Great Depression. Their generation built a Progressive social safety net that ushered in the greatest expansion of wealth that has been seen in the history of the world. The Boomers then worked to dismantle that.
Manning up and dealing with things is to rebuild that safety net.
This is what fixing what is broken looks like.
The Government just gave out 500 billion in free money but wonât tell us who got it.
but 18 year old kid needs to take out a 100K loan that they will pay back for the next 30 years so they can get a 4 year degree in accounting.
Seriously. In 2008 there was a ton of hand wringing about bailouts that were numbered in the hundred of billions. Now we got a Two Trillion one no prob. We donât even know where all of that money went to.
It is bonkers.
Do you want to know the cost of collage in France.
Its 200$ a yearthe average in America 20,000 a year.
I think I am in one of the last classes that got out of college right before the prices started to go up.
I went to college in the last half of the sixties. The average cost per year was about $3.5-4000 (of which I paid entirely myself.) Today, that would be about $27-30,000. 20k sounds like a good deal to me.
