I was actually mistaken in my last comment, because this happened in the early 90s. I was referring to the change they made around 15 years ago. Their fries taste nothing like they did years ago.
Yes…people here retire at age 65 or 67 now.
They work maybe 2 jobs or both parents need employment.
No time for gym, shoping for healthy foods and preparing them.
American workers are tired, live on processed foods and don’t walk enough or at all.
They blame Corporate America and scream ‘Tax the rich’.
Yet when the Left is in charge they don’t bother paying taxes nor do they blame their friends and relatives.
In Socialistic California they didn’t ask for 20 Billions to build a better Transit system in LA.
They wanted a rail to Las Vegas.
Oh…they love their Socialism BUT they don’t give up their jets and luxury, they only want YOU to give it up.
In LA you jump into your car to go anywhere, you walk maybe total of 20 feet a day. There is NO good enough train, bus, or anything else.
Plus you spend 2 h. each way daily sitting in a congested bumper-to-bumper traffic inhaling ten times more smog than what’s there in LA normaly.
You finish make up in the car, finish breakfast in the traffic, plus you have to taxi your kids to their functions and sports. And why? Because there is crime and kids can’t walk to school 2 blocks.
Changing all this for the better is NOT Socialism it’s common sense and being practical.
I think you’re right. I too often think about my situation and forget what most people go through. I’m just a high school grad, I never consider myself as being in a better position.
Just my opinion, but if you stay away from junk food and sugar, you can pretty much eat anything you want and be relatively healthy. Just as long as you get some kind of exercise. I’ve worked my entire life. What I said isn’t that hard to do. Are that many people working two jobs or are over worked in general?
Even though I think you’re right. I think poor life choices play a role in getting fat.
Exercise doesn’t even have to mean a gym. Go play on some nature trails. Go swimming. Walk somewhere (walking burns more fat, running burns more sugar). Ride a bike. Play basketball, etc…
That is exactly what I meant. Walking your dog. Walking trails. Chopping wood. Whatever you can do to keep active. I’ve done that all of my life. I have never gone to a gym. It can also help to have a job with some labor involved.
Just stay away for junk food and sugar. I’ll even add fast food. Eat all the wings, fries, burgers, cheesesteaks you want. You’re good to go.
