In complete contrast to the narrative of “whiping migrants” and an investigation that proved that fallacy, why are these agents up for punishment?

Before we set dudgeon to high, let us see what proposals to discipline the agents who will have a chance to respond to the charges (both of which have yet to transpire) actually means.

They are being punished because ignorant people were outraged by what they thought was the whipping of people of color. Feelings are what count, not facts. You can ignore and bury facts; feelings cannot be dismissed without some sort of mollification that includes punishing the offending party.

Why the need for discipline at all? Because the idiot in chief (oops CA is gonna be pissed) stamped his little feet and insisted they pay for something they didn’t do.

The purpose isn’t so much to punish those that did nothing wrong but rather to send a message to other agents that illegal immigrants are not to be stopped or impeded in any way.
