President openly supported violent insurrectionists in recent speech

They have talked themselves right into it…how can they turn over power to a dictator that’s going to kill and imprison his political opponents.

I quite like this sentence

Who already insurrected.

Yesterday Biden made it clear…he’s a war time pres so to speak. And this war is to save democracy…his democracy.

It was a response to the overthetop instigation by the CP (and probably FBI plants) who threw incendiary objects into the crowd that included children that incited anger in many of the legal protestors that day.

It was not an insurrection in any shape way or form and it’s a disgusting shame of this nation what has happened to the J6 political prisoners who NONE have been charged with insurrection but ALL have been denied their basic civil rights.

The current Democrat Party are the insurrectionists who are destroying the country.

To indict is not to convict. Silly indictments, with no chance of conviction is just performative art.

So YOU say.

You know how much I value your opinion.

Arguably so. And it was done by a small crowd from among the hundreds of thousands who showed up that day – akin to the argument that it was only a small proportion of the BLM protesters who actually rioted during the summer of love.

Note that part of the argument proposed in the OP is that the American Revolution was an over the top response to over-the-top abuse by the British government.

My position too.

I do not disagree.

I don’t have the time to read the entire thread, so perhaps my question has already been answered. Our founding fathers were not “American”, correct? They were British subjects engaged in a revolution. Jan 6 was a handful of AMERICANS engaged in what? A revolution? No, they were there because they were lied to and believed those proven lies wholeheartedly.

Our founding fathers revolted for the freedoms we still enjoy today.
Jan 6 peeps revolted for…an election loss?

Same thing, huh?

Do you think that the riot was the attempt to overturn the election?

I bet we are in agreement on this one.

Just getting indicted can be very frightening and very expensive.

But it’s not prison.

I hope we are.

I do NOT believe it was an attempt to overturn the election.

I welcome your agreement with me.

So as I said… the riot was not the attempt to overturn the election.

It was the fake elector scheme.

The riot was the result of that scheme failing.

Indeed it is! It’s called “true crime”!
