I think some conservative talking heads will be sent to the trash heap of history post trump. It’s going to be too hard to come back after fully supporting him.

Given the great probability that the Trump family’s next enterprise will be a news network to capitalize on Don Sr. and Don Jr.'s popularity with the MAGA base, all the Trump shills will be able to move to new homes there.

If the Trumps go this route, it will be interesting to see how they divide the audience with Fox and which Fox stars jump to TrumpTV.

If you remember, that was in the works before the election (because Trump didn’t think he would win) and the only thing that stopped it was him getting elected. I’d bet the farm that this will happen as soon as he’s out. As for who’d jump, good question. Would someone with a huge audience now jump to a fledgling network? Kind of doubt it.

Given a large enough $ offer, a star might assume the audience would follow.

hw bush in 1992
dole in 1996
gw bush in 2000, 2004
mccain in 2008
left my ballot blank for POTUS in 2012 and 2016.

I don’t think I’ve said anything about “hating trump”, so I’m not sure where that came from, but he has disappointed me on multiple occasions. Still better than any possible dimocrat though.

I’ve posted before that on this and the other board that I left my vote blank.

Report: Paul Ryan Pushing Fox News to ‘Decisively Break’ with Trump

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan, who currently sits on the board of Fox Corp., is reportedly urging Fox News to “decisively break” with President Donald Trump, according to a Thursday Vanity Fair report documenting the network’s “management bedlam.”

Vanity Fair ’s Gabe Sherman, citing four sources, reported that Fox Corp. CEO Lachlan Murdoch, who has long tried to move Fox News to the center, “is already thinking about how to position the network for a post-Trump future.”

Ryan, the longtime Trump antagonist, has reportedly been suggesting to Murdoch that “Fox should decisively break with the president” as Murdoch holds “strategy conversations with Fox executives and anchors about how Fox News should prepare for life after Trump.”

I wonder - is it just his own dislike of Trump or pragmatism and business at work ?
