Exactly. She wants this change on national TV to bring up something she hasn’t mentioned before that will seem scandalous with no way for the committee to check afterwards.
You HAVE to give Kav a chance to respond to whatever she now suddenly remembers that she didn’t before. Anything else is totally unfair.
There is clearly something she is going to say at the committee she hasn’t said before. There is no way to get her to tell that before she wants to regardless of investigation.
If there was an investigation and she witheld information then I would be on your side of credulity if she brought it up in front of congress for shock effect.
The problem there is you would have to know what question to ask. Whatever information she has could be something that might not be an obvious question. Yes if she lied she would be in trouble but if an investigator didn’t ask that would be different.
That’s what really boggles my mind. I’m sure that those who are using this to virtue signal their “support” for women believe that they’ve never done anything that could ever result in such a charge being directed their way. I hope for their sake that this precedent isn’t set, even if they don’t have enough sense to hope it for themselves.
It’s been even weirder watching them tell people with such authority how a woman who has been raped must feel about this unfair treatment of Ford as if we’re all one unit. Misogyny at it’s finest.
