Ok dems. Time to stop whining and get moving

You call this taking fine care of these kids?

When Antar Davidson was ordered to separate two brothers and a sister tightly hugging each other, he realized his time as a youth care worker at an Arizona immigrant children’s shelter was coming to an end.

“I was told that they should not be able to hug,” said Davidson, “and (I) basically realized that being in Southwest Key would mean – continuing to remain there, despite the good I was doing – would mean that I had basically come up to doing things I felt were morally wrong.”

“I was told that they should not be able to hug,”

We would need the children being dragged to the border to also go back to that level.

Did you miss the 300% increase?

Speaker of the Texas house just called for Trump to reverse the policy…

“It is wrong to use these scared, vulnerable children as a negotiating tool,”

Texas House Speaker Joe Straus asks Trump to end policy of separating immigrant children

There are over 2000 children that have been separated from their mothers.

Just like obamacare.

I don’t call it anything. It is an issue entirely downstream of the discussion.

I don’t think the appeal to emotion is holding up with the opioid crisis in the shadows…

yes this is exactly like obamacare… what a dumb ass post

What does the opioid crisis have to do with separating families?

As another poster stated, go back to the same policy before May. It’s not that difficult.

…and 10,000 that cannot be verified as having a familial relation to those they arrived with or simply arrived unaccompanied.

There are 600,000 asylum cases in backlog. There are problems. They are many.

It’s not the same condition as it was in May.

Then we treat those 10,000 accordingly. That doesn’t justify separating the more than 2000 children who did arrive with their families

Obama tried to do the same ■■■■ in the same situation and was vilified for it. A child being separated from her mother is not humane.

Trump didn’t need the D’s to start this policy and he doesn’t need them to end it.

In what way is it different?

The law requires that minors not be housed with adults.

This is nothing new. Immigrant or citizen…

Sometimes it is. Each case is unique. Should not prejudge. Trust that DHHS is doing its best.

I would like to see a border crossing fee to help fund these child rescues.

Separating a child from her mother is not humane. If you think that “sometimes it is”, then i’m done discussing this topic with you.

Separating siblings for hugging is not DHHS doing their best.
