NYC nitwits get what they deserve: Newly elected DA, Alvin Bragg, will stop most criminal prosecutions

Ask me again in 5 years.

Stop with the misrepresentations. The following is what the new policy is encouraging:

The above is what Alvin Bragg’s policy is encouraging by promising to give such offenders a slap on the wrist and no jail time.

Stop making stuff.

Today’s Democrat Party Leadership is infested with Socialist Revolutionaries, the same kind that took over Cuba and now rule over the people with an iron fist!

I wouldn’t even give it that long. About a year and there will be specific changes. People are tearing boundaries of the reforms and that’s bound to happen

It just shows how much upper middle class white people have hijacked the agenda. Actual people in hoods still want cops because they live in high crime areas.

Black folk overall were like, “can you please stop doing drug rips for the numbers, end stop and frisk, stop keeping people for weeks in jail awaiting formal arraignment with purposefully too high bails and stop intentionally profiling us”

And somehow this has turned into let’s literally tell everyone we won’t prosecute almost any non-violent crime. In a city that in the 80s and 90s was responsible for one out of every ten homicides in America. Because upper middle class white people don’t know what it’s like to live with crime.

Thirty years of peace and quiet will do that. Complacency.

They should have stopped at reforming crimes for minors. No. They have to go and come up with a giant swing that’s only going to force the pendulum to swing back. It’s almost like they want another set of Rockefeller laws.

How is it that the failing bail reform wasn’t a giant red flag to slow the bleep down

The DA could also very easily just say, we won’t prosecute simple possession and we will ROR anyone charged with a misdemeanor (and maybe E felonies or whatever) so they don’t have to spend eight weeks in the Tombs or Rikers before they get arraigned.

Bam. Half the actual issues gone.

Let’s see what the pushback looks like.

Why would they lower grand larceny to petit larceny because the person has a weapon but otherwise leave it grand larceny if they don’t? That’s completely illogical.

You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Geeze dude. Do you even live in NYC? Why do you wish suffering on them? Pretty ■■■■■■ up, imo.

So now you resort to another stupid debating trick . . . misrepresentation by ommision.

The truth is Alvin Bragg’s new policy changes serious criminal felony offenses to lower crimes and returns these offenders to the streets of NYC to continue their criminal activities against the good people of NYC.

The following offenses are changed to slap on the wrist crimes as stated in the ACTUAL POLICY

a) An act that could be charged under PL §§ 160.15 (2, 3, or 4), 160.10(2b), or 160.05
that occurs in a commercial setting should be charged under PL § 155.25 if the force
or threat of force consists of displaying a dangerous instrument or similar behavior but
does not create a genuine risk of physical harm.

b) The possession of a non-firearm weapon under Penal Law § 265.02(1) shall not be
charged unless as a lesser included offense, and § 265.01 shall be charged instead.

c) Residential burglaries: An act involving theft of property from a storage area or other
portion of a dwelling that is not accessible to a living area that could be charged under
PL § 140.25(2) should be charged only under PL §140.20 and not under PL §140.30 or
PL §140.25(2).

d) Commercial burglaries: An act involving theft of property from a commercial
establishment that could be charged under PL § 140.25(2) because such establishment
is technically part of a larger structure that contains dwellings shall only be charged
under § 140.20.

e) Drug cases: If there is a reasonable view of the evidence indicating that a person
arrested for the sale of a controlled substance is acting as a low-level agent of a seller,
such person shall be charged with 220.03 and no felonies and therefore offered
diversion. Also, unless such charge is a lesser included offense or unless the defendant
actually sold a controlled substance, the offense of Penal Law § 220.06 shall not be
charged and 220.03 shall instead be charged.

When will you learn you cannot change the truth to what it is not?

The Democrat Party Leadership, once an advocate for hard working American citizens and their families, is now their most formidable domestic enemy.

What does that have to do with punishment?

You’re more than welcome to prove its a misrepresentation instead of posting the same video over and over again.

I’m torn because I’m happy bougie white people are finally taking an interest but it’s leading to weird ■■■■ like my girlfriend who’s never had a negative interaction with a cop in her life hates the police more than I do. And it’s like damn, I’ve had cops try to beat my dad’s location out of me in an interrogation room when I was fourteen with no adult present and I still think it’s, y’know, complicated.

Our socialist revolutionaries are known for accusing others of what they themselves are guilty of.

Totally disgusting that libs defend criminals. Consistently at that.

I am that white guy. I have never had crazy interaction with cops but I have had some weird ones where they tried swinging their you know what around and i shot back at them. I respect cops but i also do have a negative view of what they think they are even though i was never hurt by them in any way shape or form.

Hate is a little strong or very strong. It’s more like you guys are civil servants stop thinking you are something more? The ones quitting due to alleged disrespect drive me up the wall

Correction! That is what socialist revolutionaries think! See: AOC gets corked after spewing white privilege, racism as reasons Kyle Rittenhouse is out of jail

It’s a class thing for sure. Since the cops are more like an occupation force to us, you learn to just take whatever they dish out, even beatings, and just stay as far away from them as possible. I’m knocking on the door of middle age and have been legitimate for fifty million years and I have yet to call the police for anything in my entire life.

Now that I’m like upper middle class and ■■■■ I guess, it legit cracks me up that y’all talk about getting tickets with more outrage and venom than we did back in the day over getting tuned up. God I love it up here.

And the last time a black man’s trial took such national attention was when OJ tried to put on a glove.

I suppose it would turn things around for the terminally LAZY.

Not so much for the working class taxpayers funding it.
