Jose Alba is 51 and works in a bodega. Austin Simon who is 34 comes into the bodega and starts assaulting Alba. Simon has Prior felony convictions and attempts to steer Alba away from the counter area. Alba picks up a knife and stabs Simon in the neck and chest and kills him. Everything is on video.
Manhatton DA Alvin Bragg cant have a citizen defending himself so he has Alba arrested and put on Rikers on 250k bond. Alba has never been in trouble before. Why doesnt he get the No Cash Bail that is so popular in NYC these days?
By looking at the video, I think the DA should be charged just like Nifong was in North Carolina.

With a 50k bail he most likely has to get a bond. At 10% that is 5k that he has to forfeit to the bondsman just for getting out until trial. He doesnt get that 5k back. He should sue the DA and the city for it.
If these DAs were charged for bringing garbage cases to the court, they would quit doing it.
Progressive Democrats don’t believe in self-defense. Criminals will always have leniency over law-abiding citizens under Democratic rule, because every last progressive DA does crap exactly like this nationwide.
