“I arrived thinking everything would be free, only to be charged $13 for a Bud Light. I was shocked after all the hard work I put in," one progressive campaign worker said.

How appropriate.
Free stuff is always expensive.
I am sure this is a sign of things to come.

I no longer consider 13 dollars that expensive for a beer. But if you’re expecting it to be free, or you get a Bud Light, then yes, that’s expensive.

You mean no free beer???

But I see …there were NOT one poor working stiff at that party so they had to maintain the air of afluence, Royalty and Elite.

Eight bucks is expensive for a beer … a real beer, not that Bud Light piss. Bud Light isn’t worth 2 bucks.

I just meant it wasn’t far from the norm. I was at some crap chain restaurant a few months ago, can’t remember which, but a Blue Moon was 9 bucks. That’s an ok beer. But I’m only having one. I wouldn’t pay anything for Bud Light.

Well,if New Yorkers think buses and healthcare are expensive now,
wait until they see the cost once they are “free.”

Ahh, socialism in an nutshell…usher it in with hopes of free ■■■■ and unlimited goodies, end up paying through the nose for a cup full of piss.

I just find the story such a . . . oh what’s the word I am looking for?. . . widow into the future?

People vote for free stuff and are shocked when they find out what it’s gonna cost them.

I hope R’s are paying attention. I think Mamdani just stumbled upon the next guaranteed winning campaign platform, FREE BEER!

I stand by my earlier statement.

I think the best thing for NYC right now is for Mamdani to get everything (city-level) thing he asks for. City council, the police, the schools, they should not fight him, they should give him 100% of what he asks for.

And Donald Trump should seriously consider making NYC a sanctuary city for 4 years. Simply announce, "If you are here illegally, working illegally etc. and in NYC we will not arrest you.
