Now this is going too far!

All evidence to the contrary.

The most offensive content of the Bond series is the blatant sexism. Of course in the fifties and sixties, sexism was the societal norm.

You are right. In England, tyranny wears oxfords.

The police were wrong to arrest her and she was acquitted of all charges.

Yes that is what the Communications Act of 2003 says. And from what i understand its categorized with the lowest form of offenses and is tried by magistrates court and penalties do not include incarceration.

Plus with the conservatives being in power for the last 12 years, the UK is hardly a hotbed of socialism.

Give the sensitivity readers enough time to do their work and we can all pretend it never happened.

She was arrested period.

Wrong again. Seems I have a better idea then you think or is that a nuance also?

Well you googled it mate. I doubt very much you have a detailed knowledge of the UK Communications Act of 2003.

I was just going from memory.

Sheesh what is it with This forum and posters hell bent on trying desperately to prove that somehow they are intellectually superior.

Most of my posts are off the cuff unlike so many who pretend to be experts no matter the discussion. When I do google i actually say so in my post.

Quick hit that search button to try and catch me out LOL.

Agree. The article mentions that a pejorative word for black people was removed from some of the books.

Funny thing is years ago we saw Harry Potter being banned in schools because of SATANISM and WITCHCRAFT. Somehow the books were going to entice our children into abandoning god and country.

Now these same people are embracing these books because of JK Rowlings few tweets on there only being two sexes ans those that were opposed to the original book ban now want to see a ban or shame people in not reading them.

Its headspinning…

But back on topic I guarantee that very few people were planning to buy these Ian Fleming books but now many more will buy them just to be outraged or on the flip show how culturally aware they are. Either way its money in the companies pocket.

People who opposed Harry Potter for occult content are NOT going to embrace the books because the author affirms their view of gender identity. They might endorse Rowling’s gender position, but the books’ alleged occult content doesn’t change because of that. It’s not as binary as you’re pretending here.

Just want to point that out.

You are the one who came in here all superior claiming I don’ know what I am talking about. I didn’t desparately try you made it easy. You sought me out. The part you responded to was a factual statement. You could have chosen to not engage but you did and you were wrong, stop crying about it and move on. You get what you give. If you can’t handle being proven wrong then this board is not for you. You are welcome to leave the forum.

I debate stuff I have knowledge of. You will notice I am in very few topics. Yes I did Google it but had enough knowledge about it to know I was right. You wouldn’t have taken my word for it if I had not provided proof. Maybe you shouldn’t rely on your memory.

You make smart ass comments like this but don’t want people to point out you are wrong. You have no idea how I obtained my knowledge of England.

You can have your last word now as always.

If there’s one book that’s never been edited, it’s the Bible.

How do we know Libs did it? Is it Cons driving the woke movement?

Yes, their version of it.

Well Bond did punch that black villain in one of the movies so it MUST be racism and edited out. We all know that black people are never villains and certainly shouldn’t be punched, even in self defense if they threaten the hero.

maybe because the content that’s being changed in the books isn’t in the films ¯|__(ツ)_/¯

Lol not even remotely true and I am not religious and know that.
