Where’s your evidence that “the dems thought” it would flip? Do you mean one person thought that? Most Democratic Party officials in the area thought that? Also, did the majority of polls indicate that it would flip?

It’s kinda weird - the thread headline (“NOT SO FAST: … Republican DEFEATS Democrat …”) doesn’t match the story, the story being about how the small margin of this completely unsurprising victory in a heavily Republican district sent a scary message to Republicans.

The GOP Candidate won that Congressional race by about 5%, which was won by Trump by 21%. (Trump won AZ by 3.6%.) If Democratic Sinema loses in that Congressional district by only about 5%, she will be Arizona’s next Senator for us here. The Republican needs to win in that Congressional district by at least 10% to win statewide in Arizona here.

You should know right off, there’s no arguing with that guy. He’s hardcore R. If the R won by 1/2% he would call it a landslide. He’s pretty bitter.
