Not true…last year, there were plans for a celebration just like there are plans for the Navy’s and Marine’s celebration…but no parade was in the works at that time.
If you think 2 or 3 months is enough time to properly plan a large scale military parade in Washington, DC, that’s fine. I’m not going to try to change your mind. Cause whatever happened on Saturday wasn’t a well planned or well executed parade.
My opinion is that the Trump administration shouldn’t have held the parade because it requires more time and preparation than 2 months to do it properly. I’m not going to blame the previous administration for something it wasn’t responsible for.
Yeah, I don’t blame them with the no kings protest. It was pretty ■■■■■■ of Obama passing Daca through executive order after he said he doesn’t have the power to do that and wasn’t a king so good on those protestors for seeing the wrong and taking the time to call it out.
Barack Obama’s statement, “I am president, I am not king,” was made in the context of immigration reform discussions and his executive actions on immigration, specifically regarding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
