Plenty of primary sources out there, like the lab ordering a completely new air conditioning unit after their lab people got sick. Which was far earlier than previously known.
That is a hypothesis, not reality. Reality is what is in our ER at the moment. And we are practicing science and doing the best we can with what we know, which does change. Stupidity is not changing when we learn something, because at all times we seek optimal outcomes for our patients. Stupidity would be sticking with a lesser approach because we are afraid of being accused of changing our minds, thus making all future alterations invalid.
So our judgement is strong, and it is flexible to the future. And it has nothing to do with whatever happened in China a year and a half ago, we will learn about that someday too and if it comes out that China was playing around and unleashed this, they will certainly pay a heavy price for it.
In March 2020, a Pew Research Center poll found 29 percent of Americans believed the virus was made in a Chinese lab and released either accidentally or intentionally. The new survey shows 52 percent believe the virus came out of a lab, including 59 percent of Republicans and 52 percent of Democrats, while 28 percent said it was from an infected animal.
Even a majority of Democrats have seen the light. Sorry, censorship didn’t work, better luck next time. They had to get permission from John Stewart first though.
