Oh good, my own personal fact checker. That the vaxxed can transmit, still a fact.
Because some people pretend it can’t happen, which can lead to bad outcomes.
What bad outcomes?
If we know being vaccinated is orders of magnitude better than not… why does it matter that vaccinated people can spread Covid?
What outcome are you expecting by mentioning that data point? Especially when nobody is saying that vaccinated people CANT spread Covid.
Jezcoe: zantax: Jezcoe: zantax: Jezcoe: zantax:Already answered, there is no reason I should need to type out a disclaimer every time for your comfort.
Yet… it is repeated over and over without proper context in the game of “CHECKMATE LIBS!!!” because our world has become so stupid that vaccination is a political thing as to whether people should get a relatively cheap preventative treatment for a virus that has caused a pandemic and has killed hundreds of thousands of people in this country alone over the past year.
it is quite silly
Again, sorry you don’t like facts mentioned if it doesn’t make the vaccine perfect, that would be a you problem as opposed to a me problem.
I have never said that the vaccine is perfect.
it is better than the alternative.
Which is no vaccine.
Yet you get mad when it is mentioned the vaxxed can also transmit., like I said, that’s your problem, not mine.
I am not mad.
Mention it all you want. No one can stop you.
I will continue to add the additional information to provide context when it does happen.
Oh good, my own personal fact checker. That the vaxxed can transmit, still a fact.
Yes. And they transmit at a much lower rate than the unvaccinated.
zantax: PurpnGold: Toll_Collector:It is. But the vax purists want to ignore this.
Why is that data point important? What are you trying to convey by stating “vaccinated people can spread Covid”?
Because some people pretend it can’t happen, which can lead to bad outcomes.
It is better outcomes than the alternative.
Which is no vaccine.
Non sequitur

Proper Context.
No, it’s just a simple fact.
Would you tell that fact (without context) to a person on the fence about getting the vaccine? If so, why?
zantax:Because some people pretend it can’t happen, which can lead to bad outcomes.

Well let’s see, what bad outcome? Are you joking? Bad outcome, vaxxed people flying around maskless
with cases of beer and end up transmitting the disease to each other springs to mind.

Transmitting at a much lower rate than the unvaccinated.
zantax: Jezcoe: zantax:Umm, you haven’t heard the news? The vaccinated can also transmit Covid.
At a much lower rate than those who are unvaccinated.
So at which rate threshold does it become problematic? Let me guess, somewhere above the vaccinated rate of transmission but below the unvaccinated rate? What happens when a vaccinated person sickens an unvaccinated person? Aren’t we back to an unvaccinated rate pdq?
As of now these things are true.
When exposed to the virus, the vaccinated are infected at a much much much lower rate than the unvaccinated.
If the vaccinated do get infected, they clear the virus quicker than the unvaccinated thus being a disease vector for a shorter period.
If the vaccinated do get infected they are much much much much much less likely to be severely ill than the unvaccinated.
I continue to not understand why people here who are vaccinated are arguing against it.
Against the vaccine? Nope, not arguing against the vaccine. It is what it is. People trying to force the vaccine on others is what I’m arguing against.

How much transmission are you ok with? Think this was a good idea?

That’s fair…
Would one of your arguments against mandatory vaccinations be “vaccinated people can still spread Covid”?

Arguing that people should get vaccinated is not forcing anyone to do so.
Let us please not pretend that that is the case.

it was very dumb for the city to allow that event to go forward.
Would you say…
“Well you know, you can still spread Covid if you are vaccinated”
To a person on the fence about getting the Covid vaccine?

They shouldn’t be pretending that.
It does however happen at a much lower rate than the unvaccinated.

I don’t advise people on whether or not to get it, not a doctor, I say, I have and talk to your doctor.
Because some people pretend it can’t happen, which can lead to bad outcomes.
I could be a asymptomatic carrier of the delta variant. I acknowledge that.
The unvaxxed should steer well clear of everybody, myself included.
The vaxxed have little to worry about.
Allan
I don’t advise people on whether or not to get it, not a doctor, I say, I have and talk to your doctor.
The “talk to your doctor” excuse is such a ■■■■■■■ cop out of anti vaxxers who want to seem neutral.
Unless you have had a history of adverse affects from the vaccines… there is little reason why anyone should talk to their doctor about it.
The “talk to your doctor” talking point ALWAYS comes after some anti vaxx propaganda.
“People are who are vaccinated are still spreading Covid”
“But talk to your doctor”
