The apartments weren’t built specifically for asylum seekers. They were being built and the State stepped in to pick up rent while these people get on their feet.

Brunswick already has Veteran’s Career House which provides transitional housing for Veterans in need.

Yay. Another dumping ground for Bidens army. Florida and Texas ought to transport illegals up there as fast as possible. Maine doesn’t have enough electoral votes to matter and it’s a Lib state so filling it up with tens of thousands of illegals is a win win for all.

That’s fine no one here is saying we should pass a federal law to prohibit Maine from doing this.

We are saying “look at these crazy stupid things libs do when they are in charge.”

Note for example not a single person on this thread has said “Don’t worry. We would never do this outside of Maine, on a national level etc.”

The dominant lib argument here seems to be
“They are asylees seeking political asylum. This is a good thing to do.”

Well, they aren’t building enough. The border is still wide open with only the Texas governor trying to plug the leak. Maine had better start building more apartments because more are coming.

This move is cheaper than the current reality of putting them up in motels.

Cheaper still would be a plane ticket home, a couple thousand dollars cash when they get there.
