New Pew poll: Most Americans have unfavorable view of Israel

Hamas paid civilians to attack and kill aid workers. Therefore, it’s not beyond reason to imagine they also pay them to steal aid, particularly food. And what better way to get civilians killed on camera by those whose job it is to ensure that Hamas can’t steal the food?

You are right. We do it by choice because it’s the right thing to do.

Huh???

The constitution prevents the government from infringing rights. There is no right to be subsidized.

The first amendment begins with this statement: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . .

If anything, sending billions of dollars in taxpayer money to protect and support a Jewish state is arguably establishing a state-supported religion in violation of the constitution.

Only in your fantasy world of make believe.

And would Israel then agree to leave Gaza? Highly doubtful.

Why would they?

Were Hamas to agree to lay down their arms, I see a Gaza that looks similar to the West Bank.

But it’s really just a pipe dream. The chances of Hamas laying down their arms are zero.

Would you be fine with the US government financing a crusade to drive out Jews and Muslims from the Holy Land?

What we have now is a Jewish crusade to drive out Muslims and Christians.

How is the US funding religious warfare anything other than an unconstitutional effort to establish a religion?

That isn’t remotely what is being funded. But feel free to keep making stuff up.

Jewish Israeli settlers are attacking the last Christian town in the West Bank with the tacit approval of the Israeli government–sounds like a Russian-style pogrom in reverse done with US funding.

Sounds like more of your made-up crap.

Yes there are continued attacks on Christians in the West Bank. But your rhetoric is clearly anti-Israel made-up crap.

Once these activists have been identified, they should be forced to identify themselves before they are shipped off. Maybe they should be required to wear some kind of badge sewn onto their clothing.

I’m sure you will agree it’s a sad but necessary step in order to protect our freedoms.

Or it is just business as usual for a Jewish holy war to exterminate and expel Arabs that has been going on since 1948.

See post 50 for testimony from Israeli veterans.

I have no interest in participating in your anti-Israel agenda.

Yes, the official narrative is that Arabs left voluntarily in 1948. That narrative is pure propaganda–right up there with the happy-slave stories that were pushed in the Jim Crow South.

The reality is far more brutal.

The First Amendment does not apply to foreign affairs. C’mon Bill, you can do better than that.

The first amendment applies to government funding to support a particular religion, which is why there are restrictions on state support for parochial schools.

Christian Zionism is a modern doctrine that asserts that a Jewish state and a new temple in Jerusalem are required to bring about Armageddon and the Second Coming. The government is supporting this religious dogma.

Not overseas, it doesn’t. Furthermore, the fact that most Israelis subscribe to the Jewish religion does not make the government of Israel a religious group. Israel is considered to be a secular country inhabited primarily by people of the Jewish faith. You know, like Spain and Italy are secular countries inhabited primarily by people who identify as Catholics.

You are way out ahead of your headlights on this.

Before the next poll comes out.

Blame Hamas.
