New COVID cases are surging in highly vaccinated Vermont

Of the 43 new cases, 36 were unvaccinated.

Of the dead, one was in the 50+ age group, the others over 80.

This is hardly news, & it appears vaccination is the best option.

1941 would March 2020.

Things were considerably better April-May-June 2021, a time frame after Biden said his rhetoric.

Now things are worse again because of Delta.

not rhetoric, broken promise.

and no, its not. its just resting until the antibodies wear off.

because of bidens poor handling of the pandemic

Says the guy that is constantly posting it doesn’t matter what we do.

Show us the data please…not just some unlinked chart.

“People shouldn’t get the vaccine because it prevents them from getting sick, but they might now be Typhoid Marys” is perhaps some of the most incoherent “logic” on these boards to date.

what should he have done differently?

So what should he do?

BTW in my county there are 12 cases of covid a day per 100,000. Pretty well beaten back right now.

I said it from the get go that this strain of the Covid virus will be around forever and mankind around the globe is going to learn to treat it and manage it, live or die with it!! The blame for this deadly pandemic is on the Chinese Communist Party, not the oppressed Chinese people.

“Delta” was going to happen. Man is not in control. The virus is going to run its course.

Sure, sure.

Nothing we can do.

So glad you weren’t in control of polio, or WWII.

You can do whatever you feel.

wrong. what we are doing, except for vaccination and treatment don’t matter. masks and lock downs are useless.

what should we do?

vaccinate all who want one
develop treatments and get them disbursed
get hospitals prepared
be prepared to shift assets and utilize military medical units to augment.

beyond that, live your life and wash your hands

not run for president

The failing started with Trump should have ground all incoming planes and seal border until they can test everyone coming in quarantine those who test positive a few counties done this NZ, Australia, China.

Costly yes but data is showing way less costly than what most western countries did trying to control it the way they did. I am not talking no one can come. Just they don’t leave the plane until they are tested. Testing is the one area we failed bad at. I remember reading about covid tests in the making some were breath tests that were supposedly going to be around instant result sadly it seems they didn’t come to be though.

It appears breakthrough cases of COVID-19 are a small percentage of those who have received both vaccinations, IIRC J&J single vaccination as well. They make up an even smaller percentage of hospitalized patients with COVID-19.

The Vermont statistics mirror breakthrough cases in my own family, and they’re nowhere near the New England region. They’re all in their 60s through their 80s, and of the half dozen, only one was hospitalized, & he’s closer to 90. Actually doesn’t sound like such a bad track record for a new vaccination

So you can’t point to anything he did wrong regarding the pandemic?

Interesting article. Shows how numbers can be misleading. For those who are gonna say it, the studies have not finished the peer review process.

This is similar to people saying kids rates in percentage are going up not acknowledging if adults are going down due to vaccine of course they will go up in total percentage.
