New Bipartisan immigration bill

And you will spend agreate part of your life as a family of 2 (like when you wre younger, and when you are older)
Average income will still be the then equivalent of $87000

And each of you probably spent several years living alone.
and one of you will again one day.

No. He doesn’t.

What we want is an immigration system that makes sense and is fair.

There are several, pehaps a lot of gov’t numbers that are “wrong.” (Like the way the CPI counts home prices. LIke the fact that so many people think GDP=the economy. Like the way some people think the stock market is an good economic indicator etc. .)

But I just don’t think you are on to one here. Maybe, but I don’t feel that way.

I asked Grok

“Two families of 4.
One has a very high income.
One has a low income.
Together they have an average income, $87000/year.Each one spends $300 a week on food. What combinations are possible?”

It gave me a 4-page answer the conclusion of which reads:

Examples include:
($40,000, $134,000)
($50,000, $124,000)
($60,000, $114,000)

These pairs satisfy the average income of $87,000, with each family spending $15,600 annually on food, and the incomes reflecting a plausible “low” and “very high” distinction.

and of those the only 2 where groceries < 13% are 124K and 134K. And thats from the gross. Not take home pay.

and at 87K there is almost no-one unless they are alone who spends only 13% of their take home wages on food

BTW, that 87K is the average family income

nevermind
we are dwelling off topic too long.

If they had been PREVENTED from entering they would not have been able to commit further crimes like rape, murder, robbery, etc.

True. But the penalty for crashing our borders and doing it illegally should be, they get sent home. Right?

That can mean different things to different people. Look at border numbers Trump versus Biden. Democrats were perfectly fine with what Biden did to our border and Republicans are perfectly fine with how Trump is handling the border.

Sure, they have.

And PS: Food isn’t the only item that more demand impacts. It’s just one data point.

And the original assertion involved both food (up 500% since '75,)
-AND-
rent (up 500%since 1981, which is as far back as the chart goes.)

And those were offered as examples of a point, not the entire point.

Two separate issues. If they had been prevented from raping, murdering, robbing, etc, their entry status would be irrelevant. Silly, no?

Here’s another thought.

Criminals take advantage of any condition they can. There is complete chaos in the immigration system and they are using it to the utmost. Yes, when Brandon threw open the borders, really bad people used it. You punish the bad people, not all the people.

Did Biden let them in or not?

Trump is screwing up throwing out the baby with the bath water. Crops are rotting in the fields, it’s harvest time in a lot of places. An already marginal situation at best in good times.

Houses aren’t being built.

This “perfectly fine” is going to come due.

Right.

Thousands of murders and rapes would not have happened.

When it gets down to it illegals are not worth the life of even one US citizen.

We found a roach in the house and decided to detonate a hand grenade to kill it instead of just doing it the right way.
