Well depending on where you live you’ll have about 30 minutes before the ICBM warheads start detonating all across CONUS. So that’s enough time to catch an episode of Seinfeld or get a quickie in before we are engulfed in fireballs and dying from gamma rays.
Don’t get me started about that. I was stationed at Ft Bliss and we were on alert all night in case computer Armageddon occurred. Worse New Years Eve ever, and that included the ones in Iraq.

I’m really cheated. I didn’t adjust my phone at all and didn’t get the godawful tone and I didn’t get the text either.
Guess they still have work to do on the system to get it fully working.
We were not in the room that I expected, but still in the building core. Two phones reacted.
I don’t remember ever receiving a call or an email in that place. I wonder if they jumped up the power on that alert?

I’m ok with this type of alert system, just not in the hands of Trump.
