Well, last four presidents all started with the House in the hands of their party - and all four of them lost the House sometime during their presidency.
The progressives are still the minority wing. AOC doesn’t stand a chance.
Expect her to run and win her district unless a true Squad supported candidate primaries her. Then if/when the House flips she can retire, confident that her district will probably replace her with another rabid progressive.

I don’t expect her to run again. My guess is she’s going to announce her retirement right after holidays.
I think the ego would cause her to retire. She’s loving having almost dictatorial powers at the moment.
Being demoted to minority leader would be too much for that Ego i think.
She’s throwing family leave back into the bill and daring Manchin.
If it doesn’t pass she’ll hang it up.
Also her mental state is rapidity deteriorating.

I don’t think she would ever begin the next congress as minority leader. I think she will run, win her district, then announce after the election that she will retire, She will finish out the term as speaker in a lame duck congress session.

She can’t even get a bill through Congress, much less her own caucus.
That’s pretty much the opposite of dictatorial power.
And make no mistake, she is madder than a wet hen that she has lost control.
