McConnell is the one that said he won’t bring a funding bill to the floor unless Trump approves it.

You seem convinced the senate doesn’t have the votes for a veto override if they pass the house bill. How do you know that?
I could have sworn the topic was about whether or not Pelosi would cave.
Trump asked for 1.6 billion, they gave it too him. McConnel passed the bill Trump said he would sign, so the negotiations were over. He’s turned down $25 billion, then asked for 1.6 billion, then refused to sign it when they gave it to him. Trump hasn’t spent the money already allocated for his border project, he’s passed no legislation for the wall, no budgets or plans, nothing.
Trump agreed to sign the bill McConnel passed, then he backed out.
So obviously it’s Nancy’s fault.
Unless Trump states that he would sign the legislation. Are you really going to get hung up on semantics.
The thread is about whether or not Pelosi will negotiate. I’ve weighed in and am moving on.
Pelosi has negotiated. Trump shut down the government and is holding federal employees hostage.
Real Americans don’t negotiate with terrorists, so Nancy won’t deal with individual #1 until he releases the hostages.

McConnell has said he won’t put legislation for a vote unless Trump gives prior approval.
We know it’s not about “being a waste of time” because McConnell has said he will put Trumps Saturday proposal to a vote in the Senate even though he knows it will be rejected by the House.

Show me!
No reason to show you anything. If you can’t find it, stop limiting yourself to Fox News and Breitbart.
The negotiations ended when Trump said he’d sign the bill McConnell passed. Trump backed out and took hostages. That’s not negotiation.
Show me where the president has negotiated. He’s said he’d sign two bills that were passed and put in front of him, but he disregards all the negotiation that got that bill passed, and demands $5.7 billion with no plans or legislation as to how he’s going to spend it.
Trump is not a negotiator, he’s a terrorist.
Completely different situation.
When the republicans shut down the government under Obama, it was because he wouldn’t cut the ACA, a duly passed law.
Trump is demanding $5.7 billion dollars with no legislation, no indication of how he wants to spend the money other than a “wall”. No specifics, no eminenet domain completed, no budgets, etc.
When you figure it out, remember this conversation. Are you completely unaware of how government works?
Lets reverse this.
Democrats don’t want a secure border. They promised to secure the border in the 80’s. They don’t care that people have had their loved one killed by people who shouldn’t be here. They don’t care that people are overdosing on illegal drugs being brought over the border. They don’t care that we have to support people living here who are not even suppose to be here. They love open borders and could care less if the border is ever shut down. The democrats don’t care about funding the government. They would be willing to not pay the Custom and Border Patrol and the TSA and the Coast Guard for an entire year just so Trump could not get what he wants. See, I can make broad statement about the Dems too. Wake up and realize this is all about getting elected in 2020.
The Democrats actually care about functioning Government that’s a laugh. If the Government functioned as it is suppose to they would be at the table working out a deal.
Finally, some common sense
The deal is fund the government.
Democrats are for this.
Republicans are against this.
You got it… no wall, no open Gov.
This is an unreasonable position.
Honestly, Congress needs to go ahead and pass a clean budget deal and set the whole “wall” thing aside for the moment. Then, if Trump vetoes it, override the veto. Then they can deal with the whole immigration thing separately, as it should be done.
I think you and your dems are unreasonable And how many time must it be said congress cannot overuse his veto, unless the senate does as well and tha ain’t happening.
There are enough Republicans in the Senate who want government to open and don’t care at all about a wall. Overriding a veto would be easy.
The wall is a dumb idea that the majority of Americans do not want.

Yep. Mitch McConnell is the problem. Just forward a bill for a vote. I’m sure the Senators will do the right thing if given the chance.
Keep dreaming
You have lost your mind but when I see that profile pic of that reprebate I understand.
