You may want to consider a cooling off period within your plan. It is probably best to give citizens 5 days or so after registering to reflect on their intensions before casting a vote. That would eliminate same-day registration and voting but the benefit of this additional rule is obvious.

They can vote at their police station or sheriff’s office. Of course the cops will be able to see who voted for who. In the cities too.
The left would just turn the 16 hours into big govt propaganda…
