I love seeing this cliché repeated. You lack originality.
Why do we need the statist patent system fir it, then?
Probably true if we take “socialism” to mean any ideology derived from Marxism-Leninism. Under what these people are advancing, it remains to be scene. None of her proposals strike me as particularly “socialist”. I don’t see why they need to throw their iPhone away to be consistent.
It perhaps might be a “government car” under their system. But that’s not what they are thinking of such a car as, so asking this is pretty silly.
They’ll just cite the origins of ARPANET.
I’ve seen some interesting proposals from a blogger by the name of Matt Bruenig on housing. Him aside, these folks are rather vague.
What? No witty comment?
I doubt they are seeking paradise (this drive is certainly present in Marxism, however), only what they believe will be improved conditions.
Poor Doug got caught not reading the article and tried to troll and now he has to chase me around on other threads because like his master, he feels abashed and wants to be a counter puncher.
Actualy, when I heard her on Democracy Now, she was proud that she is a Democratic Socialist rather than a simple Democrat. She isn’t scared of the notion that the country should be run for the benefit of all (socialism) rather than for the benefit of individuals (libertarianism).
As a general rule around here, there are two separate standards for foreign and domestic examples of socialism.
So, if you have a country like Israel or South Korea, which righties “like,” but which (say) happen to have universal healthcare, those countries are not really socialist.
On the other hand, if you’re an American politician who (say) supports Medicare-for-all, then you probably want to turn the US into North Korea.
Actually she is worse, she is a proclaimed “Democrat Socialist” which equals LIBERALISM which is nothing more then the PC liberals version of “made in America”…COMMUNISM.
It is amazing how easily verifiable facts, get dismissed by so many on the right, because it does not fit their narrative. Hell, an entire industry has been created to “throw dirt in the eye of the umpire”. (that would be us)
I guess the government actually did create yet another industry, by creating many of the industries listed in your post, and referenced book.
