My advice for President Trump...don't take Obama bait

Or for Conservativism either, just have to let it run its course and hope it doesn’t cause too much internal damage…

parts of teh wall are being built but mexico certainly isnt paying dollar 1 for it. if it was trump wouldnt have to swipe money out of mentagon accounts to pay for it

the debt and deficit were exploding before covid 19. it wasnt panicking it was trump cutting taxes on teh rich and not cutting spending.

obamacare still exists and wheres teh replacement? or even a plan for a replacement?

the only thing conservatism damages are liberal myths and lies

He’s talking about you agreeing with Nixon’s policies.

So trillions while the economy is not paying taxes has nothing to do with it?

It is running it’s course.

24,000 new cases yesterday, mostly in states locked down.

Yet.

You didn’t panic over the virus?

Whooosh…

Not hardly. 1.5 million and climbing. 90k deaths. It’s running it’s course. Look where the cases are. It chose that area.

You can pat yourself on the back if you want, it did what it does.

Men in lab coats are impotent in the face of it.

I believe I addressed that.
I stated that I agreed with Nixon’s plan to open up China.

That was then. I believe he’s asking if you still agree with it now that you can see the results.

BINGO!! That has been the socialist Democrats policy for decades now. Accuse anyone and everyone of what they themselves are guilty of. Once you’ve grasped that simple fact you’re cured of being susceptible to the narrative of leftist progressive LIBERALISM.

Yes, I still agree that the opening up of China was the right thing to do for the long run.
It beats having an insular and isolated Communist state 50 times the size of North Korea.
Do we have huge problems that need to be addressed? Absolutely.

I don’t believe you can address them and have your cake too.

Well it obviously isn’t easy since some of them have gotten worse, but going back to treating them like North Korea isn’t the answer either.

Which of them have gotten better?

Why not? What are we dependent on North Korea for?

It’s not our responsibility to “fix” China.

Did I say that?

What I said is that Trump’s promise to eliminate the deficit within a decade was at cross purposes with his actual policies at the time pre-COVID.

we’ll never know.

Those of us who can do basic math and actually paid attention the last several times Presidents promised that tax cuts pay for themselves know.

It was not my assertion that we are dependent on North Korea for anything.
It’s our responsibility to fix us.

I believe it’s been a good thing that China is more open than it was in the 60’s. It’s a good thing that millions of Chinese have a better standard of living and can afford to buy a lot of stuff from us.
The Chinese govt sucks; I naively held out some hope in 1989 it might get toppled, but it didn’t.
Same with Vietnam.
Same with our post-war policy with Japan.

I’m not a China policy expert so I don’t have all the answers (or maybe any). I’m just an anonymous idiot on an Internet forum with an opinion.
