The rate of change for say UE drops the close you get to full employment. We are now well below what is considered to be “full employment”
The better off the economy is overall the more milted the ability to improve it particularly when the Federal Reserve takes steps to slow growth.
Where is there room for improvement and how is it to be achieved?
@WildRose Have you found those us bonds with negative interest rates yet? I’ve been holding my breath for quite a while now.
The lowest I could find was actually a .25 rate. I may have erred.
They were so unattractive the FR had to buy up hundreds of billions of dollars worth because no one else would buy them.
Texas ain’t the only thing turning blue. Breathe.

Only if you ignore reality.
Fewer jobs created.
Slower real median earnings growth.
Lower annualized market returns.
Worse quarterly GDP results, still can’t beat annual GDP.
Higher trade deficit.

I love this. It’s basically like making the excuse that Trump was handed an economy in such a good state that there wasn’t much room to improve…

Ah, yes, the old Trump drove the last 20 miles of the trip, but deserves credit for getting us there safely from a 15 hour drive routine!
But super seriously, though…
is a cute way of trying to give Trump credit, despite his policies not having the effects we were promised.

If only we had an amazing unemployment recovery like Reagan:
not true at all. if they were so unattractive then their price would drop resulting in a higher interest rates.

In other words: Obama handed Trump a healthy economy

If it were true…no more hateful than Rush et al wanting all of Obama’s policies to fail during his 8 years.
And cheering at any little “failure” and dismissing any success…
Don’t you guys see the irony of this and the hypocrisy of it?
Do you know how to make bonds more attractive to buyers? Raise the interest rate . . . not lower it.

Trump took a rising economy and didn’t ruin it (yet). He did not save the economy or improve it at a faster rate then his predecessor. The facts don’t fit your narrative.
Hypocritical is more fitting. Republicans pretended that the economy was bad until the guy they didn’t like left. Then suddenly all of the growth indicators they dismissed became real.
Now anyone who points to a possible recession coming doesn’t care about their neighbors?

Well then…isn’t it a good thing I’m not a Republican?
