I thought the “laddered” approach was gimmicky. However, if you believe the government should be funded by the 12 appropriations bills and not one big omnibus then it might just work out.

I get it, it’s a win for the hard liners in the Pugs by ousting McCarthy who they didn’t trust.
They trust Mike, they got time now and we will see what, if any negotiation is going to look like under this new leadership.
