Why should corporate America be responsible for footing the bill for the health insurance of most people’s health insurance?
Doctor, am I going to die?
One second, gotta run this through 7 layers of administration.
Ok, you’re not going to die but you owe me $800 for this advil.
You’re right. Health insurance premiums were going up way faster before Obamacare.
Thanks Obama.
It is amusing to see the left arguing to give corporate America a big fat sloppy kiss though. You do know it’s currently business who is footing the bill for most peoples health insurance right?
It’s almost like unshackling corporations from providing health insurance would be a boon to the economy…

Nobody wants that.
zantax: ImRightYoureWrong:Health insurance at my company just went up 8% yoy. Thanks Trump.
Because it never went up under previous President right?

Only if you ignore what deductibles did and don’t count them as a premium increase. My out of pocket has more than doubled since Obamacare passed, but hey, my actual premiums didn’t go up much. Yay.

So you’re a supply sider now?

health insurance companies are barely scraping by with single digit profit margins. Why are you complaining?

I’m sure that your personal anecdote totally refutes the statistical evidence showing the costs of healthcare over time which illustrates my point.
So you’re a supply sider now?
Sure.
Now let’s go back to where you started:
“Single payer is prohibitively expensive!”
Now look at where you’re arguing from…My insurance costs have effectively doubled, and I don’t want to free up capital for corporations!

Because the feds required them to include coverage I don’t want or need which drove up the cost of insurance, that’s why. I don’t blame them for raising my deductible, I blame the feds.

They had no choice. Insurance companies are destitute. Now they’re being told that they can’t just deny coverage to people who need it while they chase three shekels.

Again, their profit margins are slim, they didn’t raise my deductibles and pocket the money, well some of it, about 10% of it they did, but the bulk of it went to pay for new federal mandated coverage I have no need of.

Sounds like the risk pool isn’t big enough

I don’t want everyone in my risk pool, thanks.
If your taxes go up but you don’t have to pay an insurance premium…what then?
Because it never went up under previous President right?
Trump and the GOP was supposed to fix it yo. I guess you’re cool with $1trillion deficits to because hey every other president drive up the debt. Must defend Lord Trump.

Man you guys cant make up your minds. Obamacare is a handout. No wait we are paying higher deductibles.
Well, if we offer UHC and you don’t like it, you are free to move. However, you won’t be able to move to any industrialized country in the world, because they all do too.
Imagine how far along we would be now if the GOP hadn’t stood in the way of this idea 8 years ago.
We’d be so much better off. We wasted 8 years experimenting with a ‘free market’ solution because of an irrational fear of socialism and a hatred of all things Obama.
