Fact remains, prior to covid lockdowns the scientific consensus was, masks are only effective if it’s an N95 and people are trained and fitted. If you go sit in a church full of infected people for an hour, your mask won’t save you. Because, aerosols. I didn’t rely on masks, I avoided large gatherings instead.

This cohort study among infants and young children in Italy found that the use of facial masks was not associated with significant changes in Sao2 or Petco2, including among children aged 24 months and younger.

You could even workout with surgical and/or N95 masks on.

In conclusion, in healthy subjects, short-term moderate-strenuous aerobic physical activity with a mask is feasible, safe, and associated with only minor changes in physiological parameters, particularly a mild increase in EtCO2 .

If you have COPD don’t exercise with an N95 mask on. For everyone else they’re just fine.

I wear a mask for hours each day. I’ve been doing so for decades. I did so before the pandemic. People have been wearing masks for much longer than that. It has been studied time and time again. Over a half century of data. A simple surgical mask has zero physiologic impact. N95 masks under all but the most strenuous of situations or on those with severe underlying respiratory disease have no physiologic impact.

It’s interesting that people have been wearing masks long before the pandemic but now there are a slew of armchair biophysicists who want to find a problem. Decades and decades to raise concern for all those healthcare workers and immunocompromised who are required to wear masks and not a peep. Any excuse not to wear a mask, I get it.

She made the most absurd connection I have ever seen in my life.

She started off by stating “The Leftist Media” always calls things conspiracy theories that they don’t want talked about.

She mentioned that the government releasing its report on UFOs now validates all those who thought UFOs were really alien spacecraft (she did this by relating a story from her grandma about how she once claimed to have seen a flying saucer land in a field and little green men came out of it).

Let’s ignore the part where the government report doesn’t validate Owens’ grandma in the slightest, and enjoy the really tremendous leap in logic she makes where she then says because this validation happened, it shows all “conspiracy theories” are actually true…

…and then moved on to say this showed HCQ is truly an effective therapy for COVID.

My outlining this absurdity doesn’t do it justice. You have to find it and watch it.

But this kind of idiocy is why America doesn’t deserve nice things.
