Meanwhile Gov. Kay Ivey of Alabama signed

Why would I ask a mentally ill person anything?
Maybe you need to ask people who have raised children who will tell you children think all sorts of odd things when they are young.
Like I said before my sister decided at around five she was a horse and not a girl. Within a short time she had moved on to other things.

This is why something like 60% of trans youth attempt suicide at least once.

I understand your perspective, and I don’t have any expectation that I could ever convince you to rethink it.

I am comforted by the fact that you are in a minority that shrinks by the day.

ā€œThe South has a wonderful track record when it comes to race, women and LBGTQ issues.ā€

They’re just more overt about their disdain whereas northeasterners just wrap it up in nicer packages.

Leavittowns didn’t start in Birmingham or Biloxi, but in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Many up this way are getting just as tired of having the issues of a tiny minority of the population (trans and these new genders that were never known until now) shoved in their faces. They’re just more quiet about it.

So then why are people legislating about it?

No it isn’t. Is the trans suicide rate dropping?

Im pretty sure I read a study that said a trans kid with parents who accepted and adjusted to their gender identity is more than eight times less likely to attempt suicide in their adolescence than trans kid whose parents reject their gender identity and try to force them to reject it.

And I’m pretty sure their is study out on everything and anything to suit one agenda.

I’ve also spoken to a bunch of trans kids - and trans adults who used to be trans kids.

Everything they’ve said supports the thesis.

And I’m pretty sure I’ve spoke to thousands upon thousand of healthy minded individuals that never contemplated suicide due to normal healthy upbringing.

Cool, not what I asked.

Parents can do what they feel is right. Parents in Florida are free to accept their children however they come.

The state is not their parents.

Sure they can.

Just like I can tell them that I think they’re wrong and they’re killing their own kids.

Your opinion about their children is the most irrelevant thing in all of humanity.

Most people don’t contemplate suicide. But a "normal healthy upbringing* has little to do with it.

:wink::+1:t3:

Ok. I’m sure I feel the same about most of your opinions.

There’s a difference.

I’m fairly sure that’s not what conan meant.

No. There isn’t.
