Massive Protests in China

It really depends on what you consider ended. They will Crack down it will go dormant just like Tiananmen. Then will pop up again.

And what will the people do?

I agree- my sense is he will just go full force. But that won’t end it.

Yeah its been 33 years since Tiananmen. No smart phones or internet back then. This time the ability to communicate throughout all the cities is far easier and that makes it far harder to end it.

But hey I could be completely wrong and y’all could be right that it will just be smash boom done. I’ll be the first to admit my mistake if that comes true.

If it gets these employment opportunities, probably will.

Yeah there is a loooot of simmering discontent. Covid lock downs are only a piece of it.

Well the phone thing is a good point. But unlike here China has much more control over what phone apps and info that could be passed. It also makes it easier for the government to track down people.

I think Xi will just disappear the antagonists using that same technology. Then file in the replacements.

No doubt. They can track…everybody.

And that works if they are trying to arrest/kill off a few thousand or maybe even a hundred thousand. It gets way harder if its millions.

Anyways- sheep have been walking in circles in China for a couple weeks. If that is not a prophetic harbinger of something big about to happen, I don’t know what is.

Hopefully there is no answer to this for a long time.

The sheep man the sheep…

It’s more likely these people will simply disappear at best sent to a reeducation (concentration camp). Stalin was very efficient with this tactic as well.

The west propped up the wrong dictator again.

I would pick death over reeducation any day of the week.

Chinese Gulags are appalling. Even the old KGB was shocked at how Maoists treated prisoners.

Shame they don’t have a 2nd Amendment.

Hmmm…The Chinese government appears to be flooding twitter with porn so that images and videos of the uprising don’t get spread as easily. And twitter is undermanned to be able to handle the spam.

Ooops I mean always the west, with you. You always blame the west.

Chinese police prevent an additional night of protesting (in a very Chinese way.)
