Marines urged to stop using “Sir and Ma’am”?

And if you don’t know their last name?

When you’re answering a question?

This is retarded and ghey.

Okay, so now what do you call three officers of different rank when addressing all three?

Oh come now, learning time is never wasted.

You don’t.

That could be carved on your Hannity Forum tombstone.

“You people”?
C’mon, you know I’m having fun.

Sure, but I wasn’t asking you, so cut me some slack. :stuck_out_tongue:

More wasted time.

I’m retired. What’s your excuse? :stuck_out_tongue:

Then perhaps it wasn’t as much of a waste of time as @Supreme_War_Pig thought it was.

Nope, not for me. Cheap entertainment at SWP’s expense is well… entertaining!

Referring to Officers and Warrant Officers as sir or ma’am isn’t a problem to begin with. However, tinkering with military customs and courtesy, especially as it relates to good order and discipline, simply for woke virtue signaling is a problem. In the case of Officers, the junior service member by rank, or position will always refer to an officer of senior grade as Sir or Ma’am. And to lowest officer rank is always superior to the highest enlisted rank. 22 year old butter bars and 19 year old Wobbly 1 chopper pilots outrank every enlisted man in all of the armed services. The title is part of the superior/subordinate relationship.

Yeah, I don’t care. I am getting fussed at because I was reckless enough to answer a question.

“Superior”

I would opine that you are getting fussed at because your responses have indicated an utter lack of the realities of military senior/subordinate relationship and the realities of military service. The very premise that the customs and courtesy of the service, developed over centuries must conform to the whims and feelings of some individuals is the problem. Had you served, you would realize that the individual conforms to the customs, courtsey and discipline of the service, not the other way around.

Yup. Still don’t care.

I didn’t say they were superior in capability or experience, but they do hold a superior rank to every enlisted service member. And you know that. :disappointed:

Not really surprised.
